Q:

.25 cal polymag question

Just curious what some of you have achieved with the new polymag pellets in .25. I’ve been trying some things with my newly modded condor. It has one of Tony’s valve but he did not do any work on it. I need to get a chrony and see exactly what its doing. it is definitely shooting harder than before. I notice ican stack pellets at 20yrds with fill pressure at 2700psi. If i go to 3000 they tend to fly all over. What velocities are some of you getting and still being accurate?
Got to rats last night with this baby and boy was I impressed. No jumping around……just dead.

Preds in mine go 1,100fps or more just like the JSB Kings if I fill the gun to a “normal” 2700-2800 pressure. I usually take a dozen shots with Kodiaks first, and then shoot the Preds starting at 1,060fps usually. They do fine >1,000fps too but shoot awesome from 1,040 down to 950-960fps where I re-fill the tank.

The velocity for the Preds is almost identical to the 25.4gr Kings, so most of the time I just fill to 2300psi to keep them sub-sonic, and the gun “quiet”. I shoot 32 (2 x 16 in the Phillips pellet holder) very accurate shots and then refill, which is usually ~1800psi.

Tony, how much $$ is your .25 caliber valve? I checked the site but failed to find the cost.

Hoot 😯

They are a 26 grn pellet, so with a 3000 psi fill it would easily be 1075+fps if its with my valve…
Like Cam said, they fly best 900-1000 fps.
Good Luck, Tony

They go faster then kodiaks, and I shoot them extremely accurately at 975+ fps. Killed a huge raccoon with them only going about 600 fps, .25 cal is devastating, and these pellets are one of the best, if not the best pellet for hunting.
