Q:

.25 cal Swaged Dual diameter bullets

Inspired by the fellas having fun with Jerry’s cast bullets and had to get into the game with some swaged bullets.
Swaged a bunch of 50 grainers and some 70 grainers.
Filled my Vulture to 3,000psi and get this shot string:
910, 906, 896, 880, 870, 870, 863, 850, 849, 838, 835
for 12 shots from 129fpe down to 108fpe.

Shot the 50 at 2800psi and got 973fps for 105fpe

shot some Kodiaks and at the top 2900 they go 1215fps and at thte 2200ish they go 1050fps and quite accurate.

Battery dead in my camera so will get pics later.

need to swage up some more big-uns 🙂

quote Mr-lama:

If the idea of these big heavy .25’s take off, that’ll almost put some of the big calibers like 9mm out of service. These things are getting almost as much power. Plus with the fast velocity it’s getting rid of the big curve and all.

My thoughts exactly. The heavy .25’s should be able to do everything I ever wanted a .308 to do, with more efficiency and a superior trajectory.

The .25 is one bad-ass caliber!!!

Wish I lived up there as i know where I would be hanging around. 😀
