Q:

.25 Cricket Compact? What Did I Get

http://i1026.photobucket.com/albums/y330/guraljason1/Short%20Cricket%20.25_zpsau6drwwm.jpg
I am pretty upset. I had to convince the wife to let me have another gun. I searched one of the sales forums and decided to traded my ERNEST TUNED .22 EDGUN MATADOR for what was supposed to be an Ernest tuned .25 cricket. Instead it looks like I got a .25 Cricket Compact with extended shroud. This would be great for backyard stuff, but it is not what I am looking for. As Stated earlier I am pretty upset because after coming off a TWO FREEKING YEAR long deployment, I just want to relax for a month with the family, and put away some squirrels at 100+ yards. Can anyone please tell me what was modified on this gun? I haven’t even shot it yet and I already want to sell it. MY $1,600 Matador is gone!Does anyone want to but this for $1,000? I’m coming from a culture that demands the highest of integrity standards, and any perceived violation will be met with swift punishment. I am disappointed in my civilian counterparts and I hope this was an honest mistake.

Please let me know if you can tell me what has been done to this gun and if anyone would like to buy for $1,000?

that doesn’t look like the one I sold back in nov 13,2013

it had wood stock, that came with short and long oem shroud. the barrel I polish myself–really shinny!

Sippy99: first of all, you are right it does not look right, i believe the barrel is supposed to be 500mm in length. Second I would double check what you agreed to buy and if it was different i would definately put that member on blast for the shame. Third, I would shoot it and see how you like it, because at the end of the day there is not much you can do about an user to user sale, but re-sell it. You never know, if you give it an honest chance you may really like it. :geekn:

There is something different…Probably someone changed barrel or cut original cal.25 barrel to shorter… I don´t like it this solution. OR there would be anther thing if someone change barrel from vulcan and machine it… I´m guessing only 😳

What’s exactly wrong with it? Install the shroud and take a better pic. The only thing I see is the shroud might be on the longer side but if it shoots well, it would be badass to have a compact .25. Just get a shorter aftermarket shroud.

They don’t make a .25 compact cricket…

So what is the problem? Do u not like the length ? I’m just trying to understand your reasoning….

And besides edguns… can be had at around 1250 all day long

And to clarify, no, it was not Ernest who had it for sale.

You might want to contact Ernest Rowe. I remember seeing and 1-off custom build he did – a .25 compact cricket that was for sale not too long ago. Pretty sure the guy had it listed at like $1400 or something.
