Q:

25 Cricket first shots

My first shots with 25 Cricket. I need more practice. Just leaning against the pickup truck. The lower left are the Benjamin Domes with all the shavings and dented heads recently got from PA. The mid right side are the JSB Exact King 25. The JSB’s are nice and clean, all pellets looked uniform, no damaged shirts or dented domes. Sighted in @40 yds. distance was 40 yds. A full clip was used in each round of shooting. Barrel was swabbed out before shooting, dirty but not bad. Any suggestions of the best way to mount Picanty rail on the forearm. I know I need a set of Bi pods. Even @ 40 yds. I have the wiggles while shooting freehand. Do most of you shave the forearm flat before mounting the Picanty rail or build a platform for rail by using something like JB Weld?

I used the Magpul L3 rail on my synthetic Cricket. I did through bolt it and used the magpul flat nuts. If you want to go this route you need 10-24x 3/4″ button head cap screws.

P.S. No need to shave anything. Although the it’s not quite perfectly flat where you mount the rails, it fastens perfectly and flush and you cannot tell the difference. The included hex screw is short and will not go through the other side. So you can’t use a nut to secure it. But the good news is that you don’t need too. It’s is SECURED. Just drill a pilot hole, then use 5/32 bit.

It’s real short and I think the perfect size…

How long is it? You don’t want the rail longer than you need, but I guess that’s my opinion

That cost $40!!! Do yourself a favor and get the Magpul L2 MOE rail section. It can be had for $7 SHIPPED from Amazon. I got it attached on my tactical and looks real nice. Will post up pictures later, but it’s securely fastened…

If the JSBs are done off hand rested, then I’d pack it up and call it a day.
To me, that’s what the bullpup design is all about. Good first outing.

I have a synthetic. The bottom of forearm is rounded.

What material stock: synthetic or wood?
