Q:

.25 Delrin hammer spring guide to reduce spring noise

Finally got a chance to tune a .25.

1st thing I notic was a loose spring near the hammer (no spring guide)– a lot of slop and you can hear it too. see photo, you can see the spring guide on the HSTA so I made a guide to fill that area.

Photo of Delrin guide when cock —-> not like the .22 this one is a little smaller OD then the Hammer so it dosnt hit the action as a free floating hammer.

Photo of polish hammer with Delrin guide with HSTA guide so you can see the clearance.

Also added de pinger in the AT

now this .25 sound solid with no spring noise, she shooting kings at 935fps and sound as quiet as the .25 cricket at the same FPE.

Rainbow ? Even Gayer 🙂
I’m worried about you , Zonkie …

I need to take some picks of mine with the Can on. As quiet as a quiet PCP with SS/STD cartridges. Muffles the muzzle crack on the 17 HMR & .22 WMR completely. Nothing can suppress that supersonic crack but it’s dead quiet by the muzzle = the quarry doesn’t know / can’t place where the hell the shot comes from.

But it’s quiet…….Got to have a class 3 to have one over here. That paint has 7 different colors in it. :8:

Not really. The stock color is Gay and the muffler looks like a Sex Toy .. [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Oh I see, you mean like this then…..

As an example. I’m more of a rifle man myself.

You mean like this Ville???

30 cal Airgun is just stupid anyway. Better with a muffled .22LR.

Hoot: I feel your pain, I’m in the same boat as you………..wait a minute, I’m getting my own boat.

:hoot:

Guys…on Social Security, a tiny Texas pension, and my savings…I can’t afford a $2000 .30 caliber pcp! It took me seven years to get to the level of a Vulcan.

Hoot:

Hoot just come to the dark side…get a .30 Edgun R3. You neighbor will never know!

Hoot , Why do you want to spend at least $31.00 on a tin of 32 grain hollow point slugs for your .25 Vulcan when you can shoot EJ 35.8 grain
pellets effectively out to 50 yards and have the same carnage at a lot lesser cost ?

Key, you’ll be happy when you get it back. Mine just keeps getting better and better.

:hoot:

My VulcaN ULTRA-SLOW leak was the pressure gauge. It simply wasn’t screwed down tight enough. Give it a try. Might have to bleed off any air pressure first, as that can prevent you from getting a tight gauge fit against the air cylinder.

My Vulcan .25 will arrive at the Sniperlab tomorrow. Can’t wait to see the improvement.

Whatcha doing to it Key??

I had a leak that I just couldn’t figure out. I would replace all the O rings and it would stop them return. It is such a slow leak that it was hard to find. Seems like it was coming from the bleeder screw but I stopped it there. So my frustration level got to the point when I saw that Ernest was working on the hammer noise for the .25 I figured let him play with it, find the leak, tune and replace the hammer. The full monty. I plan on doing a Vulcan video like the EDgun one so I hope it performs on film.

Soon someone will. Wait and see !
