Matter of fact why is it going to take longer for the .22 multi shot kit to make it to the US when the .25 is ready for anybody willing to put a deposit on it…I would have thought the both .22 and .25 would be around the same time. And if the guns are making it to the US and complete guns why not send the kits with them..I’m betting there’s more people with edguns already that would like the upgrade rather than buy a whole new matador……at least in my case I’d like to be able to go back to shooting single shot if I got a little bored with shooting the multi shot.
Ps don’t mind me…I’m also speaking out loud…lol.
I expect the new breech for .25 to be ready during August. So when I will be back home from vacation in Barcelona I will go to Estonia to assemble them. I will need to bring some details from Russia, the rest of them will be made in EU. Hopefully the guns will be assembled in period from middle of September to the end of September. Based on the last few deliveries it takes about a week to get the guns to USA from Europe. So I expect them arrive to Tony towards the end of September or beginning of October.
As for .22 KITs, the point is that we are running at full capacity of our production line and having choice between either to make KITs or guns at this time I’ve chosen the guns. KITs will be made later.
Hello Ed and forum,
Ok, I am a little confused. Will the .25 modification kit be made available in August? Is it only the .25 complete matador that will be made available in August. I too am on the list but have not sent my deposit yet and I do not want to miss out in the first shipment. If I can get a better understanding of when the actual .25 kit (modification for existing matadors) will be released it will help me decide if I should sell my R3 to purchase the R3M. Dang I feel like a kid wanting/waiting for the highly anticipated christmas gift…it’s great huh?
Oh, any insight on what the multi shot modification breech would cost us ED?
Thanks my friends

ThatΒ΄s a wise decision ! Once again – Big thank you for that Multishot and that you did replaced the faulty old model breech part any unnecessary discussion. It took itΒ΄s fair time but i do understand that these MS breeches arenΒ΄t growing in trees ..

Ed, thanks for exactly clarifying that dry-firing is only a problem below normal operating pressures. That makes perfect sense.
Good points Ed on standard vs long. Very interesting to see the breakdown of standard vs long buyers here in the US.
Having owned both I fully agree with you that the standard is much easier to maneuver inside of a car (not that we should be doing that here in the US…) π
The standard is also obviously a little lighter and more compact for carrying around hunting. Having owned both standard and long versions I never noticed any accuracy difference between the two– but tuned for the same velocities the long obviously has the lower noise level and greater shot count.
Over the last year or so I’ve come to prefer the long version for reasons of feel & balance (the lower noise and added shot count is nice too) but on those rare occasions I use it from a car I find myself wanting a standard version again.
While I currently have a .25 R3M long on order with Tony I’m considering changing back to a standard…
Hey Ed how quick would the wait be if I placed a deposit for a .25 standard R3M?

I agree, i got 3 matadors .25, two long & one standard & i wish i ordered all of them standard size.
Ed, i do long range shooting, actually my range is 194 yards & until today i cant find a rifle that will shooting Pepsi cans 7 out of 10 shots at that range. So i will defiantly test the new Edgun at that range & compare it some of the rifles i have that are very accurate, also against the laser Steyr Hunting 5 π
This is actually 55 yards not 50 and before we cleaned the barrel on the Edgun.

I was talking ONLY about .25 not .22.
Ed
Dear Mr. Eduard;
I will send you an important email, just go there i reply me please.
Thanks …
I was talking ONLY about .25 not .22.
Ed
I hope Tony explained you already that he takes order only with deposit and I will send him exactly the number of guns based on prepaid orders as I have other clients in other countries who wants my guns.
Ed
Take care of mine, the money is already TRF, R3M .22 Long.
The Best Regards…..
And one more things, the length of the gun. I don’t know if you have the same joke in your countries as we have here, in Russia, but we say “The bigger car a man has the smaller dick he has” π
For me — I prefer standard length Matador in .25 for hunting. All this hunting were made with standard .22 and .25. Please watch them with highest quality π
When in the forest I don’t need a lot of shots, maximum I did during one hunting — 10-12 shots. I guaranty that EDgun Matador standard R3M with JSB King 1.645 gram pellet and speed of the pellet 280 m/sec (920 f/sec) will give you at least 40 shots (in fact it can be more, but let it be a surprise π )
Standard is more comfortable to use in the car and in the bushes. Yes, it has less number of shot per fill and yes it is a little louder (in fact when you speed up your long at 300 m/sec it sound the same level as standard at 280 m/sec) in comparison to long one.
Another reason. Tony has ordered me now more then 80 long .25 (just for couple of days after he announced it) but I have only 50 which I can send to him. I have much more free of reserve standard ones in .25 at the moment and I can give most part of them to Tony in case he orders them.
So, guys, watch the video, think carefully what do you need this gun for and make your choice based on your REAL need. I would appreciate if those who has ordered Tony long Matadors .25 would change their mind to standard one. In this case I will be able to cover all your needs, almost. Yes, even having grown up with number of guns produces in this year (more then twice in comparison to the last year) I still have more orders than I can make so there are still waiting list π To keep it shorter or close it I need to sell more standards in .25 now.
I hope Tony explained you already that he takes order only with deposit and I will send him exactly the number of guns based on prepaid orders as I have other clients in other countries who wants my guns.
Thank you all for supporting me and I do hope you will be satisfied with new R3M in .25 π
Ed
About dry firing. I didn’t recommend to fire at the pressure less then 120 bar. In this case, yes, you can destroy the valve and the brass detail. But when you operate within a normal range of the pressure (120 — 220 bar) there is no difference if you have fired with the pellet or without it.
Good to know Ed, thanks. I just know from a friend with a Daystate that occasionally you think you have one pellet left in the mag when it’s actually empty and you end up dry firing. Since I was previously under the impression based on several posts here and tribal knowledge that dry firing the rifle without a pellet was hard on the air valve rod and also on the brass nut that retains it that is why I asked. Since you say dry firing isn’t an issue (provided there is still air in the rifle) I’m no longer worried.
Just got in touch with Tony and am now in line for my 4th Edgun, this time a .25 long R3M. I was originally considering just ordering the breech & bolt upgrade kit for my current .25 R3 long but I decided a complete new rifle made more sense especially since a friend has been hounding me to buy my current rifle for over a year now. If I order a complete new R3M we’re both happy. π
A bunch of members here are under the impression dry firing an EdGun will destroy the valve…

You might want to consider this. I am. I recently emailed the Maddog Stocks company and asked them if they would paint a wood Matador stock. They said “no problem”. I have owned Maddog Stocks before and was very impressed with their stock designs and especially the finish….. This might be the solution you are looking for…
