Q:

.25 kalibr cricket

Hi guys need your help and advice please..I’m over in England and picked up my .25 cricket on Friday but it’s not very consistent over the chrono and seems to spike all over the place..shot to shot seems to vary fps as much as 20 fps but then it will settle for a bit with 7 fps spread but then goes wild again

What is the cause of this and is it an easy fix??

Just lead residue. It wipes right off with WD40 or Ballistol. I put on cheapo surgical gloves , invert the gun and use an old toothbrush or Qtips on it and discard the dirty Qtips & gloves. Wipe it clean with a clean rag and you’re back in the game..

Thank you for your reply..it’s slowly settling down now”still not as good as I would like..I’m going to try and learn how to service the gun myself..I do however have one question”what is the best product to use on the outside of the barrel as once removed shroud you get a build up of?? What I can only think is lead deposits that cloud the outside of barrel

I’ll bite….Ernest is the go-to guy with this but if it were mine, I’d remove & clean the regulator thoroughly. While you’re at it replace any & all o-rings you come in contact with. Make sure to precisely measure the OAL of the regulator prior to breaking it down. Reassemble it to the exact same OAL and you should be good to go. Again, I’d wait for Ernest or email him your query, but I’m pretty sure its the regulator that governs the shot-to-shot consistency. Do a YouTube search and you’ll find some great tutorial vids..

good luck & let us know how you made out.,
