.25 Mold
Getting setup to mold DAQ slugs so I thought I’d look for a mold to use in my .25 LW barrel also.
How do you think these would do cast from pure lead (or pretty close to it)?

If you know where to find any more molds or sizers I’d appreciate a link. The RCBS is expensive.

yep they do i use them in my power burners they make a big whole but i have pure lead and some from xray never put a check on it to see if it glows at night.
Forget wheel weights unless the barrel leade is prepped to take the bullet in free-bore. Those wheelweight bullets cast up real hard.

the mould came from Graf &Son i found them on the net under bullet mould . And i my be off but if you keep the heat up on the lead pot and scrape the junk off the top wont you have pure lead or softer lead not sure of that but someone told me that. :18 :18 :18
I know that most wheel weights are 3-5% antimony making them a little harder than pure lead. I’d think a pure lead .458 hollowpoint would create wound channel riveling centerfires.
Not to mention the better velocities using pure lead from the DAQs.
old fishing weights, used tire weights (that u can get for free from tire shops) roof flashings etc…
Yeah, I would think so. If you dont mind me asking, where did you get it? I need some.
I think old lead roof jacks and stuff would make good bullets but are hard to come by in large quantity.
No he did everything to the gun i got the mould from Lyman i have about 1ooo lb. of pure lead that should make my .25, 9mm and 308 don’t you think

Well i got mine three weeks ago it was about $75.00 then i got the sizer and top punch . Have not been able to use it yet my mom died so i have a lot to do with that so it will be a while be for i can use it but it will used a lot for me. I think it will work out ok because Tony did mine from fount to back and its great . :18 :18 :18
