Q:

25 or 22 P-Rod or custom 22xx

I am in the mood for a PCP pistol for squirrels. I already own a 13xx but I do not want to be sitting in the blind or in my tree stand pumping while bow hunting.

So I found a great deal on a like new P-Rod in 22 cal but I can’t bring myself to close the deal. Reason being is I would like to have one in 25 but it would have to be a build.

1) buy a 22 P-Rod
2) build a 25 P-Rod, already found a reciever
3) take my 13xx and convert it to a 2250 in 25.

Someone talk me into something

quote birdman:

I’m thinking of getting a pistol , only thing is that it has to be of a large enough caliber to head shoot and kill a
shark when landed or next to the boat , say maybe a 5ft. or 6ft. Thrasher . Any pistol big bore guys have any
thoughts on this ?

I would do the p-rod in .22. You can always turn up the power and use heavy pellets. You will only be shooting short range for a pistol anyway.
