Now that is some cool information. I did not get my condor yet (backorder) but will order .25 barrel and try some buckshot
Those shoot OK, but Hornandy No. 3 buckshot hardened with antimony is awesome, it also has some kind of lubricated ultra-smooth coating and it is CHEAP! 5 lbs for the price of two tins!
I shoot those, fit tight, shoot right on most of the time, sometimes zoom over to the right, I like the grafite coating, I think it’s great stuff for new barrels.

Then I shot it at paper and I had to move the elevation knob up a few clicks after the first shot. After three shots I was satisfied. In fact,that pellet on the brick fence was dead on a spot on the fence I was aiming at on a rest. A Bullseye.

can the ball pellets be fired though a rifled barrel like the condor? these looked interesting

how would these work?
I just bought some of those .25 cal Copper coated ball pellets from Germany at Pyramyd for about $12.00 or so for 200 in a tin. Then I bought from Straight shooters three tins of JSB Predator poly tip in .22 cal. The JSB’s weigh 16.8 grains and I had to turn up my Talon Tank up higher to plaster it compared to the Crosman CP’s. Notice the heat from the pellet as how the lead has a shine plaster in the brick. I haven’t clocked it yet but it felt like it was moving in the 850fps range. This would mean that a 16.8 Grain pellet would roughly be hitting at 17 to 19lbs at impact. A rough in the ball park figure. But enough. 8)

the mac1 website seems to not work for me…does anyone else have the same prob? or its just me….?

That sounds really cool. Do you know about how many grains one weighs?
One of the .25 Cal Copper coated balls weighs 22 grains. A Beeman Silver Jet arrow .25 weighs .24 grains. On my cheaper scale. On my reloading scale it will give me 22.something… I just haven’t broke it out.
Man you can buy 5 pounds? As long as it is round and consistant enough. I clean out my bore and I shot the .25 Copper coated balls through a RWS.48 but that rifle was harder to shoot ya know. My Condor will be smoother and I am sure it will group tighter.
I was also wondering too at times what number of lead shot would work with .17 Cal to load into the cheaper crosman BB guns? I would rather use led shot than BBs.
