Q:

.25 rimfire barrel for Talon

Anyone know if a .25 rimfire barrel could be used in a pellet gun?

The old stevens fired a 60+ grain projectile if I remember right, and it must have been supersonic as I distinctly remember the sound of it ripping across the field.

So I would suppose the twist rate is borderline for airgun velocities, not to mention the groove depth is probably too much.

Is the twist the same?

That I don’t know.

Is the twist the same?

Thanks. I know a guy that has 4 old Cooey .25cals for sale cheap. Might be a nice project.

.25 rimfire?

I’ve shot this round years ago in an old Stevens rifle. I dunno if I could bring myself to cut an antique into an airgun part.

Why not.
Getting the bullets up to speed and to fly good is the real trick.
