Q:

.25 Talon barrel w/ only 1 bushing.

I received the 13 3/4 inch .25 barrel today that I bought from IMADMAN. It only has one bushing at the rear to secure it in the gun. (I knew this before buying). After quite a bit of aligning and adjusting, I finally got it to line up straight, but I’m not sure how long that’s going to last. It seems to shoot fine right now, but I would feel much more comfortable if it had the second bushing. Who here on the site can make me one besides Anthony226. I know how busy he is and I’d rather get one sooner than later. (No dis at Tony, I just know this is minor compared to what he’s probably dealing with at the moment). Soooooo, if any of you machinest’s out there feel like tackling the job, let me know and I’ll work out a price and send you the O.D. specs of the barrel. Thanks!

Walt, I really appreciate your offer. I will have to tear it back down and pull the barrel out to mic it, but I will do that tonight and email you tomorrow. Thanks for your more than generous offer.

Nugs

I would take advantage of Walts deal. That would be alot easy than trying to do it your self, if you do not have the tools. Way to help someone out walt.

I can send you one. Email me off list, I have a few made up which were waiting for my new dividing head so I could locate the mounting holes exactly. I made a mistake and made a few that were a tad thinner than normal (usually they are .500″ thickness, give or take a few thou) and made a few that were .400″ thickness. Does not affect performance, they still work the same. You can have one for free. If you send me the diameter of your barrel I’ll bore it to exact size for you.

😯 Really? Odd…

What is it? Maybe some thick wall aluminum tubing will work…

I may have something…

The inside diameter of the bushing is different from the factory one’s. The O.D. of the barrel is larger than the factory barrels. I could take a factory bushing and try to bore it out, but I’m afraid I’d screw it up a couple of times before I got a good one.

P.S. Thanks for the heads up YN. I don’t know who he is or what he wants, but I swear I never saw her before! 😈

Why not just buy a pair from AF? They are pretty cheap and I would advise against using just one new one and one old one…

Could you get any accuracy with only one bushing… 😯

Walt made me a new barrel and I bought the bushings from AF…

Comes with screws if you ask… 😉

But the ID of the bushings is not the same in the .22 and in the .25, i suppose 😳 😳 😳

Do you know how much it cost from AF?

Thanks
