Q:

2800 psi 800cc .25 Condor 100 shot string

Well it was raining today and decided to try a high psi fill. Now I have purposely tuned my Condor for lower 2500 psi fills to maximize my scuba tank fills.

Setup:

New Condor valve, 100g hammer from Tony, stock hammer spring, .25 LW Polygonal barrel:

.25 JSB 25.4 Condor PW2

This string was just to show bell curves and how fill pressures can effect strings.

thanks 😀

Nice string 😎

Well trying to find a low pressure setup to get some consistancy and with around 30 shots. I know I can get a pile of shots from the 800cc tank but I am looking more for a 30 shot string with no POI change. The .25 pellets definately buck the wind and anchor pests better than .22 heavy Eun Jins. The JSB’s seem a softer lead and the larger frontal area of the .25 seems to dump energy better where as the Eun Jins in .22 tend to burn thru targets.

Looks like 2500 psi works the best I will do another shot string shortly to confirm.

I know the Air Ranger will do 50 shots .22 Kodiaks at 970 fps with a 3300 psi/230 bar fill so 2400 psi and around 165 bar for 30 shots isn’t too bad in .25 at the same velocity at 4 grains more but I will keep doing some fine tuning.

Very nice!

WOW! 😯 Randy please do a write up on the difference in how you set your gun up for a 2500 fill Vs. a maxed out hot rod @ 3000 fill. That string is the SH**!

Thanks guys finally got her where I want her (with lots of help) after 5 years of learning about airguns.

Randy

HOTDAMMITMAN !!! THAT is one” out of sight” shot string!!! And in .25 caliber? Outstanding !!!!!!

NOW THAT”S WHAT I”M TALKING ABOUT!!!!! 😎 😈

Thanks guys, Walter turned down the 800cc tank machined a new longer valve body then transplanted my old valve components into the new assembly.

I have a great .25 setup, thanks Walter. 😎

With the small 430cc backup tank I have lots of shots when dealing with gophers and the .25 does well. Last time out I did a head shot at 60 yards and it really sprayed the ground red. 😈

Randy

Whoa dude, that’s quite a string… 😯 😯 😯 😯 One of the longest strings i’ve seen yet with lots of juicy shots in the middle…

Reminds me more of a mellow airfoil than a bell type curve. Looks almost regulated… 😆

The tank is twice the stock tank? This looks like a great idea.

That is one pile of shots!

Bet they all would work fine for pesting eh? 🙂

Walter…
