Q:

3-9X32 Bug Buster scope question

I posted this on the optics forum but wanted to do so here too as I know some of you who browse this forum may have the same scope. Since the maximum magnification level is 9X and that most scopes’ mildot standard is set to 10X, what level is the mildot spacing true at on this scope? Also, will it withstand the recoil of a springer?

Thanks for the feedback guys.

amjadck, just curious, if your Nikko Stirling was able to only go up to 9X, how were you able to figure out the mildot standard was at 9.8X? I calibrate the mildot standard on all my scopes by using calibrated mildot sheets. I just wanted to ask the question given that most scopes are set at 10X whereas the Bug Buster only goes up to 9X. I ordered the scope because I wanted something compact for my TX200.

There is an option in chargun pro to measure the true setting. I had a nikko stirling 3-9x which I measured ~ 9.8x

I have one, can’t answer your question since I haven’t used it much. The reticle is just too thick making it a short range only scope for me. The FOV is also rather limited.
