3 shot group – 70 meter
I regulary shoot <10mm groups with my Edgun .22 but this beats it by far 🙂

I did this and it worked great.
1) remove the scope rings and rail.
2) wrap the muzzle end of the rail in heavy cloth or cardboard.
3) put he wrapped end of the rail in a vise and apply some hand pressure to gently bend the rail muzzle end up
4) frequently take the rail out of the vise and lay it upside down on a flat surface to observe if any and how much you have bent the rail. Take your time and don’t over do it.
5) stop bending when the rail has about 1/16 (or less) rise (arch) in it (for scopes that run out of adjustment – poi is high and can’t be lowered any further)
6) remount the scope with the muzzle end ring as close to the end of the rail as possible.
The slight bend is not noticable.

actually i have zeroing issue with my Delta Optical scope on my Edgun,,,due to the very limit elevation turret adjustment,,,actually when i decided to buy this delta i was not aware of the matter of elevation adjustment,,, i thought it will work good,,, but it works good on my Benjamin Marauder ,,, and in fact iam planing to resell it and buy another one with a huge elevation turret adjustment,,,
the Hawke just work very good,,,, but all i wanted from my hawke is shooting for long distance/target for some few times not all the times … and i reset the scope for sight in at 50 meters ,,, i measured the clicks and could go back to the same impact point at 50 mtr…. but i just become to know that my hawke 8.5-25X42 has less elevation travel adjustment between all (Hakwe SF 30 )s ,,,,it has only 60 MOA my bad,,, while others have 70 and 80 MOA,,, now i understand that is why one of the good reviewers said my favorite Hwake is 4.5-14X42,,,??!! because this one has more MOA ,,80 MOA,,,
actually my Edgun brother i don’t care of the near distances (10 mtes up to 60 mtrs ),,, now i want to learn shot beyond 80 mtrs and go even for beyond 200 mtrs ,, WOW,, hahaha,,, yes,, for sure,, because i might move for my new house finally (God Willing) ,,, there are a plenty empty lands around this new house that i might have better chance to practice the longer distance,,,God Willing,,,
so,,, in this case i am sure i need the scope mount like Barret ExRings (( https://www.barrett.net/optics/exrings )),,, or get the better scope which is very difficult from now on,,,

Remove the scope from it’s mounts and add 1 or 2 thin plastic shims to the inside bottom of the rear scope mount. Cut the shims so that they will cover the full half inside circle of the rear mount. Doing that will slightly cant the scope in the rings and allow you to sight your gun in at 54 yards without having to use all of your scope’s adjustments just to sight the gun in.
You really don’t want to use up all of your adjustments up on a scope just to sight it in. It is not good on a scope to have to move the reticle that far off of center just to zero the scope at 54 yards.
Yes, you have more MOA adjustments on the Hawke but: if you have to turn the elevation adjustments down that far to sight the gun in, some of the springs that hold and locate the part that holds the reticle are over tensioned while the other springs are under tensioned. You could very easily come up with wandering POI issues.
I’m sure that some guys, that understand the concept more fully and, are far better at explaining things than I am, will jump onboard and explain it better.

I believe it was Townsend Whelen who wrote that, “Only accurate rifles are interesting.” As a general proposition I would tend to agree with him. Few things are more frustrating than a firearm that cannot be made to consistently hit the target.

Oh,,,my bad,,, i had choice to even buy all Hawke models 10X40 / 4.5-14X42 / 6.5-20X42 ,,, but i thought more magnification is more useful ,,,my bad again,,,if i had my current experience,,i would go to either 4.5-14X42 or at least 6.5-20X42 ,,,, because the 4.5-14 has a 80 MOA turret range and the 6.5-20 has a 70 MOA turret range,,, and my bad choice 8.5-25 has only 60 MOA turret range,,, as per this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0RtZPF6UYg#t=59
that is why 4 weeks ago when i went to a village and tried to shot targets between 220 mtr – 260 mtr ,,and i was not able to adjust the cross on targets i had to put the 3rd mil-dot holdover to shot targets ,,, the velocity was about 930PFS ,,, now i understand how scopes are working ,,, :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :biggrinn: :biggrinn: 😯 😯 😳 😳 😳 shame ,,, hahha,,, ok guys,, at least i didn’t miss this lesson ,,, thanks Brother Kiba for your explanation on my other topic ,,,thanks Coda as well,,,

Ah – More limited elevation adjustment. Only 50 MOA. I think the Hawke is 70 MOA max according to Hawkes video.
Yep… Brother Kiba has explained that also. ..he said that I need a z-rings. …
Get some Burris signature mounts, that’s what I did on mine to take out the incline
However I am not an expert in using scopes. still I need to study and understand. ..I can say that my brother Kiba was correct about saying that I cannot zero my Delta scope on my R3M with incline 0.5 …. I couldn’t zero it at even 54 metres…
But I can easily use/zero my hawke scope on my Edgun. ..still want to fully understand that. ..
