Q:

$300 bucks to spend

I am trying to get my boss into shooting airguns and he has about $300 to spend. I know that is not enough for a Talon or such. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to suggest to him.

Thanks in advance for all your input.

pcp or springer or pump ?

a used pcp can be had for about that money ( i got my SS + pump for about that)…

several springers to choose from wiehrauch or rws (can be had under the beeman label also…beware of the spanish and turkish crap that gets the beeman label these days) for cheap one of the crosman nitro pistons rifle (not the high power versions, the regular ones or low power)…and a trigger

multipump can be a in between of the two above (dont know the market).

i would honestly look for a used AA410, but they are usually double the budget…or perhaps a marauder with pump used, that should get you close to the budget

Do what SteveLA says…lend him one of yours, and he will be hooked and find big budget

Get him to shoot a PCP gun for a few hours and he’ll increase his war chest. 😉

I think he is going to have to up his funds if he wants to get into pcp.

It’s my belief he has just 2 options here.
Either 30 x $10 hoe’s. Or 10x $30 hoes.
I tried 1 at $300, and was walking bandy for a week. My advice is to pace your self.

Wow, not an easy situation really, is he looking at a pcp or a springer?

I think he has that just for the gun. then will get the pump later. I have a tank we can use for starters.

Discovery is a great starter gun but it costs $399 with the pump, $259 without.

Great rifle!
