3000_2800_2700?

Just got my .25 Barrel from Tony. BEAUTIFUL. (Thanks Tony)
Question: I know that most Condors do not actually like a 3000 fill but rather a 2800 or 2700. Can anyone tell me what the most common preference of the condor is? I tried the crony thing and the numbers are all over the place, up and down with no logical order. If I hold the muzzle say 6″ high and/or close to the sensors, could I expect roughly the same results if it varies an inch or so between shots or would it not make much difference?… this might actually be TWO questions in mixed up in one!

As as point of reference, mine seems to like 2500.

With mine I run 2800psi on the Kodiak’s and 2900psi on the Eunjin 42gr’s.

PS. That bell really looks beat up!!! DAMN! I cant wait to get mine sighted in HALF that distance! And yes the Kodiaks seem to be the “goods” so far with ALL my guns.
correct on fill pressure. You will find a fill point where the first shots are consistent right away, if you fill too high, the first few shots will start off lower in velocity.
my .25 gets two types of ammo, kodiacs and Hornady #3 buckshot (.250 roundball). the Kodiacs when i need every last bit of accuracy or for long range. The roundball is good for plinking, is “minute of bottlecap” to about 35yds, with the occasional flyer and i’ve even gotten a few small animals with it out to about 35 yds. Mainly it is good cheap shooting fun. Still hits really hard, never fails to impress guests. chrony shots with the rb probably a waste of time, they are not quite uniform enough to give really consistent fps (easy to tell as some require a little effort to load and some load easily) but it shoots well enough so I haven’t even bothered. The Kodiacs are most consistent in mine, tried 3-4 other pellets when I first got mine and didn’t get the results I wanted. past 25 yds, the roundball performs better the faster you shoot it.
if you have another ag around in .22 or .177, shoot a reactive type target with it, then with the .25 and you’ll really be able to appreciate the energy it carries downrange.
This was done at 100 yards, bell is metal.
SO, you saying somewhere in between 2700 and 2800 more or less? I am testing the kodiaks and the ramjets. Also giving the round balls a try. BTW do you know anything about the balls? I never hear people mention them much in small bores but they work wonderfully well in my 909 big bore!
try backing up a few feet from the chrony. sometimes the air coming out the barrel interferes with a good reading if you are too close. Also if you are testing indoors, flourescent lights will mess with the readings. 27-2800 should be a good fill pressure. What kind of pellets?

funny you should say that, savage. It seems angelina gets more feisty around that fill area too. How many shoots do you get with that fill?
