35/50 yrd groups /stealth 22 12" barrel
Here is a few groups shot friday afternoon.
stealth 22 ca, 12″ barrel. standerd crapy uk valve.(top hat right out)
100gram hammer…unknow fps cos my crono deid last year and i havent replaced it yet cos im to tight. ๐ณ
i over filled the gun before the 35yrd ,but put just 170barr in to shoot the 50 yrd..
i was using jsb/air arms. in it before tuning and got ok groups but to meny flyers.
so i changed to H & N ftt with great rusults lead on lead at 35 yrd.
but since i put the heavy hammer in ther blowing around a bit at 14,1/2 grains ,,do you think the jsb,s at 16 grains will be better now its tuned??
im gonna give it a try in a week or so,,carnt yet tho im looking after the wife ,she,s just come out of hospatol (tonsols out ) im doin school runs looking after the kennels ,,cooking, blah blah..
im trying to improve the stealth as im sick to death of waiting for my air arms bullpup to be finished,,its took the man 5 months !!??
it only takes bentley 10 weeks to make you a car from scratch ,,
i phoned twice today but got no repley,
he,s just got to finish the trigger then he can carry on with the stock and inlaying for the trigger..thats what he told me last week,..
if this takes much longer, thers no wonder he has only got aroung to testing the stealth mag on sub 12ftp .he must move at a snails pace..
the time you add up the price of my new s410 super lite +the ยฃ450 to build the gun thats the price of a maruader if i go drive to hollend and pick it up,,as long as thay have them in the shop..
im waiting on a email for the totle cash price on a
lelya and a maurader
lelya ยฃ1150 rrp
maturder ยฃ1450 rrp air gun heaven in hollend
WE WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT HE CAN DO WITH THE PRICE,,,IM BETTING NO PRICE DROP WHAT SO EVER..
I DONT KNOW EVEN IF ED HAS GOT THE SHIPMENT TO HOLLEND YET MYBE ED CAN ANSWER ABOUT THAT,IF NOT THE EMAIL WILL COME THIS WEEK FROM HOLLEND.
im going out of RC racing cos of the kennels taken so much of my time i must have ยฃ2k worth mybe ยฃ1500. its all on ebay,,im gonna kindly give it away to become part of ed gun crue TBO i think eds guns are great and ted over at ed usa just shows what thay can do in proper hands..

WELL i laped my valve stem this morning.. thanks to that nice chap posting how to turn your uk ..valve into something more tasty…
THIS IS THE PICS,,,SORRY I DIDENT TAKE THEM STEP BY STEP,.
http://s931.photobucket.com/albums/ad154/adamb007/stealth%20valve%20laping%20%20porting/
i emptyed the air buy putting the fill adaptor on with a small washer,
letting the air out slowly over a minite or so.then set it aside and went to bed..
as i carnt leave the wife for more then 10 mins till the next 2 weeks i couldent get to my mates work shop to use his vice. just as the gargage accross the rd was opening 8am( classic car sales) i ran over like a mad man with bottle in hand telling paul i had 20 mins before doin the school run and the wife was on her own, ๐
,can i use your vice and some tools qwick sharp. ok adam on you go bud.. he said.
so i was on it, bottle in vice and of with the valve with the moul grips.. ๐ then ran back home to do the school runs. done that.
then when home looked in on the wife then very qwickly cleaned out my 8 dog runs/pens and fed the fuckers.. RIGHT STEALTH TIME I THOUGHT.
on the old valves as you all know ..thay had a white spring retainer made of plastic,,its now made of brass,,i stripped the complete valve except taking the burst valve out..
when apart, i took the brass spring retainer in hand and looked or tryed to look through it held up to the sky…no light what so ever? i couldent even blow thriugh it,??
no wonder its not working as it should ,iv never seen such a small hole.god only knows how thay drill /make a small hole like that.
enyway 2.5 drill bit in the bosch hand drill i started with the valve stem first.
i left the stem in the valve for this next bit cos i thought the room for error was greater with me holding the stem in hand,as i have no vice here
.i put the drill bit through the top hat down to the bottm of the valve ,i let the drill start cutting quite slowly untill i had a small hole then picking up the pace of the drill for a mininte or two ,with a few stops to look at the work.
each time i lifted the vlave of the wooden table ther was a nice little pile of sworf from inside the valve,,its working nicly i thought.!!
then a little bit more i was through,,,what once was a hole so small not even light could be seen ,,now its a nice 2.5 mm all the way ..
when looking at the valve i couldent beleave i drilled a 100% stright hole all the way through the stem.
my drill does have a small level built in and i had the valve on a flat wooden table,,letting the drill bit pass into the wood as it broke through the stem,,this making a proper cut..i then polished the hell out a my knob, oops sorry i ment stem ๐ and the top hat untill i got a nice shiny fininsh.
then giving the worked stem a good blasting with the wd40,then blowed of with the compresser..yes i was happy with my work. so happy .then putting the stem back in the valvei put the little black stem cap back on then put the spring in followed by the brass sleeve that fits around the spring. this just leaving the new brass retainer nut that keeps all the valve together..
i forgot to take pics alone the way of this fisrt bit,,and after fitting everything back and putting the stem back in the valve with the cap on i dident wont to pull it back out,,,this is the first time iv done this and it was going great so i thought leave sleeping dogs lie..
but i did take pics of the brass spring retainer after i drilled through it ..
HEY PRESTO day light ,,,in stead of a hole a atom wouldent fit down now its a nice 2.5 mm the same as the top hat hole… ๐ ๐
i used the same method drilled through it taking my time a bit at a time ,holding the nut in hand,,boy was the brass easyer to go through then the 303 stainless steel.. when done with the brass nut i gave it a good blastin with the wd40 blowed of with the air..left to dry then inspected ,,,100% level also..
i dident use a vice nor a bench drill and held evrything by hand it just goes to show what a bit of skill, some info from a helpfull member, and a bit of good luck ๐ ๐ you can pull some thing of in life that seams far harder when reading it…then it really is i stripped it done the work on it and had it back in the gun in just over 1 hour ..
i changed the hammer to a 80gr instead of the 100.
as the gun is very powerfull comperd to before..
im gonna buy a croni next week. but if some one could give me a rough guide what the power will be ..in fps/ftp.
spec of the gun is
12″ barrel, uk valve drilled out to 2.5mm 80gr hammer.
using jsb,s 16grains..
im still looking after the wife after her op in case she hemriges(tonsols taken out) so iv only got my 20yrd range at home for the next few weeks..
but its going through 1 hole evry shot,,but not the problem is my back stop of 2″” plywood is no use to the pellets now ther going stright through the 2″ and my fence panels hitting my neighbers wall. ๐ฏ ๐ฏ so im not gonna shoot it at home as all my dogs are close ,,not worth it ,,,this power would take one of my dogs clean out ,if a head shot was to happen..
thats why i ask to what your thoughts to the power of this gun now..
sorry idident take more pics
with me not doing this sort of thing i got carried away having fun..
tbo it just showed me that the thought i had of doin 2 years night school
to lurn to use a cnc and mill… is a good ๐ก i like making things…and using tools..
