410 trigger adjustment
To any 410 owners… I went to adjust my trigger, tried to make it a little lighter by using the supplied allen wrench. I turned it 2 half turns anti clockwise, so it’s about 1 full turn so far. If doing this made the trigger feel lighter, I can barely tell. In the manual they warn about going to far in the other direction when increasing pull weight, with a “Coil Bound” spring, but how much adjustment, or how many turns is OK making it lighter? I don’t want to go to far, to have some internal spring get lost or something else.

Saugus, that link tells you the proper order to adjust pull. If you follow the order, you will end up with a very nice trigger and you dont have to take anything apart.
Saugus, the pull weight screw weight doesn’t make it any lighter after it has been adjusted to the point it provides for a light trigger pull. The only way is to screw in the first stage screw to get to a real light trigger pull. When adjusting, do so quarter turns at a time.
I’ll go there and see if the AA website version says a little more about this than the owners manual I have.
Thx for the link Riff, although I’m not sure I’m ready to start taking things apart at this point lol. I was mainly wondering about the external adjustments, A, B, and C but mostly the A adjustment as that’s the one that reduces or increases trigger pull weight. Counter clockwise is supposed to make it lighter. I’ll give it another 1/2 turn and see what happens.
The Air Arms sight has the manual online if you want it.
I dont have access to my bookmarks until about Friday, if nobody has answered how it works by then I can tell you all about it.
I dont want to give any advice without either my rifle or the photos at hand, but it is very simple and easy to adjust if you go in the right order.

The pictures are of the older trigger, but adjustment is the same.
As always, use caution if you go with the polishing and washer part. I found the washers didnt make any noticable difference on mine. I did not polish anything.
The adjustment advice is spot on, worked great. Be sure you go in the order described.
