Q:

4500psi Tank Hiss??

So I got a 4500psi tank from Tim at Mac1 and also the firefighter to K Valve adapter.

I turned on the valve to start filling the Airforce Tank. Once it hit the point where it had to start adding air to the tank (Around 2500psi) I started hearing a quiet high pitch squeel until I turned off the valve.

Should I be worried about this? Is this normal?? Experts help please.

Some of the high pressure regs i install for work are noisey as hell when the gas is passing through them.Next one i install is totally quiet.

Its mostly cold rubber seals making the noise. No danger, and you will find after a few uses it should get more quiet….

Yep, just crack it a wee bit. Watch is slowly fill. It will stop. Then open a wee bit more and stop at 3k

Okay thanks Adam.

That Scott turn handle is very touchy. Ill work on my percision turning.

If there is no leak you are fine.

Fill slower. Allow a couple of minutes to fill. That noise is air rushing through the valve.

GO SLOWER
