Q:

45ci 3000psi pb tank vs. af tank

i was wondering if you could use a 45ci 3000 psi nitrogen paintball tank with the Co2 adapter and get the same performance or close to the same as the af hpa tank? i am asking because i have one from when i played paintball and i just thought about using it bfore i went and sold it

but if you get about the same as a Co2 tank how do you guys who have that setup up like it? what fps would i be getting in a condor thats tuned by tony?

nice looking homemade guns there
i might put the af valve in the pb tank down the road
the reason i thought about using the tank was because i just bought a used condor
the guy sent the tank filled and i shot maybe 25 shots until tank got too low
tank now wont fill with the pump i have, and i have the old one….
so i am going to do this because i dont have the equipment to set the top hat and i would probably need assistance on putting the new valve
to eliminate all of that i get a co2 adapter and bam im done, plus i would get a lot more shots

also can the co2 adapters handle a 4500 psi tank (full charge) or just the 3000?

47 cubic inch, 3000 PSI tank, with a custom threaded valve.
The valve is built with a 5/8″ – 18 thread insted of airforces m18-1.5 thread.
The tank works good. It is on a 9mm custom built gun.
It has a stock glued to the end of the tank.
The tank is fatter than airforces tank, so the scope mount was built higher.

Custom built .25 cal gun with 68 cubic inch, 4500 PSI paintball tank.
Again, a custom threaded (5/8 – 18 ) valve.
It gets about 50 shots @ 50 FPE, when charged to 3300PSI.

you can do what im doing and remove the regulator from the bottle and fit your own valve in

found out that its preset to about 850 psi so thats a plus
i am thinking about a 70 or an 88ci 4500 high fix tank for 160$ also

alright ill do that i have to order the adapter

and i will mail out the payment for the stuff hopefully early this week i have been busy and didnt get to it 😳

ok thanks shrpshotr
i was thinking about that cuz it doesnt get cold like Co2 and plus a lot of shots
do you know what kind of fps i would be getting with the setup?

regulator on your tank could be anywhere from 600-1000psi. just have to try it and find out.

it will not be comparable to the standard hpa condor tank, as it is regulated to low output. You will get a whole bunch of shots though. It will be comparable to the performance you get from co2 on a warm day; with the advantage that the weather won’t affect velocity, you could still use it effectively in the winter time.
