Q:

45yrd groups

My condor ss just doesn’t group very well to me. What kind of 45yrd groups are you guys getting? The best I can do is 1.380″ctc. I think it should be better. I’ve ran cudas, jsbs & Hunter Extreme from 800-975fps. The best was jsbs at 845-850fps. Pushed a pellet through the barrel and it was slightly rough, ran some polish through it for 75 strokes the barrel felt better, accuracy a tad bit better. Any suggestions? Thinking about a smooth twist barrel, what’s y’all’s opinion on the smooth twist barrel?

Thats not right as far as accuracy. Only things i can think of to check is

The baffels in the shroud. If they move at all it will cause poi change. Had that happen on one i made. The baffle barely moved back and forth and caused horrible accuracy.

On your hammer spring there is a small white tag that says spring silencer. Mine would stick out the slot on the side of the gun with all the power marking sometimes and i gues hang up during the shot cycle. I pulled it off and no issues with that no more.

Check for any other looses parts, barrel bushings etc. If something changes the harmonics of the gun during shot cycle that will cause different poi.

Those are the only things beside velocity which you will find if you shoot across a chront like salt said.

I can’t give a good answer to this, my condor is so modded for short range accuracy it would make you cry.. 27-55yards is ragged holes. My .22 Condor may be fitted with a ST barrel in a week or so hopefully. Tony is buried with work. I’d recommend spending a day on a chrony with pad and pen.

i do not have any experience with the ss but my condor .25 does ard 1cm ctc at 50m with slight wind. unregulated. i do 10 shots group minimum to validate.

what have you done to the gun so far? perhaps u could check the fps string, then check for anything loose, clean barrel, check bushing while at it, check tophat too. hold it lightly too when u shoot, etc
