50 shot string
Well I was waiting for .25 kodiaks but evidently beeman has gotten behind on producing them.
Here is a 50 shot string, with a stock talon and 24″, .25cal barrel installed.
Stock hammer, stock spring.Talon valve. A 2600 psi fill ending with a 1600psi, That is what I believe anyway, using the gauge on the hand pump taking note when refilling the point that the gauge stops increasing. Really don’t know how accurate it is.
Crow Mags. 26.2 Grain pellets / PW @12
Some reason my crony can,t count higher than 32 ?

Sawtime, just a tought…
by the looks of that string, it seems you are almost “standing on top” of the power bell curve? you only get about 3 or 4 shots higher that the first one, and then velocity starts to go down.
Have you tried putting maybe a hundred psi more of air in your tank? say filling to 2700psi? im thinking that way you would start shooting in late 700s, up to low 800s, and then back to late 700s, and get an even higher shot count.

To tell ya the truth I don,t know.
Went to Mac-1 and bought a Regular Talon, already have a SS.
Opted for a .22 cal barrel when I bought it.
When we put her under the chrony, we discovered PW had no effect on velocity, so Tim trimmed the hammer spring a bit, how much ? your guess is as good as mine, maybe 1/2 a coil ?
So the PW started to actually do something.
Then I picked up a .25 24″ barrel here on the forum, installed and started shooting.
So as far as the hammer weight I would say whatever comes in a Talon.
The spring was trimmed a bit, quite frankly didn’t even know there was different # springs.
Of course in time I will get a condor valve and bottle, heavy hammer just for some wow factor, however pretty happy what she’s doing now.
I wonder what numbers you could get with a bldnod valve. 😀
Top hat a smidge over .125, this is what Mac-1 set it at, haven,t messed with it yet.
I was shooting at 7 yards in the garage, crony set just before the target, didn’t notice any poi shift, but at 7 yards ??????
MAW your right, my bad, Beeman crow mags are 26.2 grain, I’ll edit that !!
Holly Crap! i dunno what you guys think, but to me those are DAMN good numbers!
Can you please tell me how much opening you got in your top hat? even if its at factory spec? (i dunno how its supposed to be from factory 😳 )
And, did you get the classical “POI shift to the left” from the top hat slaming into the valve at lower presure?
I thought crow mags were 26 grns.
32 bits sounds kind off familiar. Must have something to do with bits and bite’s. We have a machine at work that goes nuts once it has reached 256 error counts. That’s why I don’t like electronics and computers.
