7.62×39…. Whisky Tango Foxtrot????
A minor rant and I know I’m preaching to the choir, but over the weekend I dropped $180 for 300 rounds of Yugo 7.62 civilian. Not boxed, loose packed, but the deal came with a nice semi-rusty 30 cal ammo can to keep them in. 🙄
Wasn’t it not too long ago that you could drop a couple C-notes and be up to your tits in 7.62?
At this point, I’m choosing not to partake anymore in this feeding frenzy. I think if people would just calm down and knock it off for a while, supplies will come back up and prices will come down (a bit).

Oh it’ll be the same when they get an order in of that stuff. If they have enough, you can buy it by the grate, which if I’m correct, is about 10,000 rounds. That’s a lot of ammo.
The 7.62x54r I shoot is REALLY hard to find and expensive unless you get it like that. Our local store sells them at 10 bucks for 20 rounds. It’s a little brown bag pulled straight out of one of those ammo crates and put on the shelf with a ridiculous markup.
I don’t see any of the 7.62×39 now that I’m looking a little harder. They usually have plenty, I’m sure it’s the ammo rush. But just check in to it on occasion and see if they have any, they have the best prices I’ve found. my 7.62x54r ammo is on there for 150 for 880 rounds. Now that you have the website to check it once in a while.

Dude, thanks for the tip, but it says 5.45, not 7.62. The pics do indeed look like 7.62, so what am I missing here?

Aim surplus is where I buy all of my 7.62x54r ammo. I buy 440rds at a time for around 80 bucks. A lot of times the metal case that I’m pretty sure was dug up somewhere under stalingrad is a little corroded but the ammo is in perfect shape, never had a dud or misfire.

Yeah, I know what you mean! I’m just about out of hard ball .45 but I refuse to get on this roller coaster ride. I’ve seen it before. Just wait it out. It will come down! 👿
