Q:

75+ yard groups

Figured I’d see if we could get a collection of groups going. I thought I read a thread on this and they wanted to know your barrel and what not. Anyways 75 yards or further please. Short or standard. This is 11 shot and 12 shot groups @ 90 yards. Will post improved groups once I get time. Outer circle 2″ inner 1″. This was with a front bag and some breeze but not sure on mph…

This was mutant shorty cz newer so I’d guess longer barrel with jsb 18 just incase anyone was wondering. I will be attempting groups out to 150+ yards probably. Hoping to get some competition brewing. Thought about doing this in general bullpup and getting all pups involved. LET’S SEE EM!

That would be the jsb 18 @820fps.

Neal that group at 59 yards is awesome!!Very nice shooting there. Wish I were that good a shot. Almost forgot to ask what pellet are you using?

I wanted to mention, although I do like the edgun scope, I do not care for the turrets(mushy to me). Just wanted the clarify it is still alot of scope for the money.

Thank you sir! I am very blessed. My father purchased the property 20 some years ago when I was still in t ball. I love to camp, hunt, and just enjoy nature. I maintain the trails, tree stands, and wood piles for my old man’s wood burner lol. He comes out to “hunt” (he hasn’t shot anything for probably 10 years) and shoot the shit. It’s just relaxing hanging around the fire.

Now I said that I just sling lead and the groups within the chaos equal great potential. I figured I will start shooting groups that are 1 clip or 12 shots. I feel I can achieve this at 90 yards. This is at the 59 yard marker. I want to prove I can shoot the groups. Everyone knows what Tony’s new mutant shorts are capable of…..

Now I said “the bad” was target shift because I have a sticker on a paper plate with a stick poking through leaning on a log holding the plate. Not the sturdiest, so when I shot the plate bounced to the side slightly making the holes actually with the group if I walked down readjusted the plate and finished shooting. Or I could’ve tried to compensate for it with hold but said screw it. I’m not sure if I pulled the ugly shot or if it was a flier. I don’t do anything except grab from tin and load into mag. No sorting, weighing, lubing, etc.

Even with the target shift 10 shots are covered by a dime. …
P.S. the first shot will forever be a mystery. …

That’s a sweet place to shoot! I wish I had a bench in the woods like that…

Checked the weather and it says 16mph winds(feels like alot). Not sure if that’s considered high wind. I’m new to reticles with holdovers. I’ve always sighted in at maybe 50 or 75 yards on a shotgun for deer and never shot past that point. I’ve been behind a trigger my whole life but I don’t consider myself an expert at all. I feel I like I don’t know much about it really. I know how to hold steady in multiple postion and squeeze the trigger while following through. I have great eye sight, maybe that helps “it can’t hurt”. I’m using edgun 12×44 from bryan. I can clearly see hits on paper plate at 90. I can see hits clearly at 135 on the reactive target. I highly recommend this optic. For the price, I’m not sure it can be beat. It focuses clearly at 10 yards (maybe a little less). If you have priced 34mm rings they are not cheap. It comes with rings and flip caps. The reticle will get you out there a ways and be fairly clear while doing it. I’m enjoying it so far.

Great shooting and pics Neal…kepp em coming…
Tony

Was conversation with Darryl and figured I post this here also. Not every group is great but I’m still learning. You can still see the potential group size if I wasn’t trigger happy and pushing rounds. I also don’t have a set amount of rounds for my groups. I shoot to get more comfortable with the gun so if I see small groups it’s just a bonus. Tony really made everything a smooth transaction. I also bought a lelya .20 that is very nice. Tony is a wonderful guy to deal with and I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with him again. HE WILL MAKE SURE YOUR HAPPY! Thanks again tony! Well now for the good, the bad, the ugly blah blah enjoy the ride.
P.s. I know it’s under 75 but oh well…. also got a “new to me” rest. Never used 1 before… very nice.

I tried shooting a group at 60 yards for you but the wind is killing me right now. I shot all groups you see with only hold over no doping for wind, so if it’s real gusty the groups open up. I’ll snap a shot of 1 so you can see …. this was strong wind blowing left to right. I shot 4 groups switching inbetween mag and single shot tray. You can see there are still 4 1 hole groups but some shots either got away from me or not sure what happened. I sometimes shoot very quickly and was told the regulator needs time to recharge. Never cleaned the barrel from factory, but maybe tony did.

If you look above the 2 paper plates at 90 yards you can see the 135 yard target. I know awesome cell phone pics right…. sorry I’m no PiterM.

That is a 90 yard group sir…. will post a 50 for you later if you like. I just got a solid rest instead of just shooting with front bag only. I have just over 500 rounds through her. :4:

Looking at the 75-yard group makes me wonder how tight would a 50-yard group look from that gun of yours. Good post.

This was me fooling around with sterlok pro at 135 yards to Tru my trajectory. I shot many rounds at different holdovers . You can at least see the potential for another day now that I’m dialed in. Those are 1 inch squares and orange circle is 2″ outer 1″ inner. I will post more groups when I get some free time from hunting/working.
