Q:

800fps cannot increase or decrease

Hello

well i have an Edgun Mat R3 single shot

for few years i did not use it because there was an issue with reg… not stable

so i bought new one and it seems my new and old reg are just fine but when i did install new reg i have face new problem that i cannot understand ( i use “deman” reg tester )

i’m posting this here so if anybody have an idea please let me know

now my problem when i play with hammer spring to increase and decrease power … my fps ( stick with 750fps to 820fps max ) .. it was 960 before

when i increase the tension of the hammer spring power goes down like 750fps .. and when i decrease it .. it goes up for 820fps max

i did double check everything .. i have also install new hammer spring … still 800fps

i’m thinkin of change everypiece of my R3 to other R3 to double check again piece by piece …idk

pardon my english

Greg you hit the nail on the head!
It is most probably what is causeing low velocities, didnt think about it till you mentioned it.

thanks for ideas

i have change all o-rings before there is no need to make any changes but only one thing that i haven’t check real close which is the valve i’m going to replace it these days and check if there will be any changes i’ll post here

Measure the valve spring length and post.

Make sure not to install the pre-charge camber backwards, it will make the valve spring tension very hard and cause low velocities.

Another thing to look at is your valve stem. Make sure it is completley straight and not bent. Also make sure it is clean.
.
If you dont feel a puff of air in your face when you fire, It is probably not the transfer port O-ring or the breech O-ring/ bolt probe O-rings.
But I suggest you replace all the above O-rings with high quality ones and lube them with silicone paste.
Even though a O-ring might look fine, still replace it.

When you are done replacing the O-rings and checking the valve stem you should back out the HST completley and start turning it in a small amount at a time until you get your desired velocity.
.130 bar regulator pressue is spot on.

Let us know if you have any problems :biggrinn:

I’m not to familiar with the Edgun R3 or R3M yet, mines is on the way as we speak.

If you haven’t checked already:
You might want to check how is your Brass ring or Rubber O-ring, not sure which one your gun should have ?
If it’s intact and in the right location, crushed, leaking/damage or missing ?

Also check the breech if the O-ring is missing or has blown out ?

What is your value length, how much does it stick out ?
How is the condition of the valve spring and or the right length one ?

You should post up a shot string graph so people can better help you diagnose the problem. What is your regulator pressure set at? If increasing the HST is lowering the FPS, then it is probably set too high.

reg set at 130b … if you increase or lower the HST power at this range wont go more or less than ( 820fps~790fps ) …

unlisted .. i made this video to friend also i cut it so you can understand my issue … pardon my english
