840 fps Drozd
O.K., I know most of you guys don’t like BB guns, but I’ve got my Drozd shooting 840 fps with a 1000psi regulator on my HPA tank. 30 rounds in 1.5 seconds in the area the size of a quarter will do some SERIOUS damage! 😈
Yeah I love my Drozd nothing like 1200 rpm on bulk!!! Oh except fpr a MP5D I fired that was just plain spooky!!!

That is so sweet Randy. Nice setup you have. are you shooting steel BB? 😀
Thanks my Dad went thru the war in Germany and always had strong views about guns due to conscription and Eastern occupation, but that is old histry now and what goes around comes around.
But he gave my a pellet gun at 10, .22 at 12, and shotgun at 14. Taught me to fear a gun early on by making a big potatoe disappear with a hollowpoint scared the hell out of me the noise and getting hit with bits of potatoe but he said I wouldn’t understand if I only saw paper being shot.
But now I have lots of blackguns and they will be passed down for sure.
So I am not nuts just respectful of what guns can do and the responsibility that goes with them.

Randy; You’re a good dad. There is nothing wrong with having the kids compete to pick up the spent ammo. You’re just including the kids in your sport. They want to be included. Your wife is off base.
I grew up with a gun in my hands at the insistance of my father, a Michigan farmer. This with my mother’s blessing. With proper training you’ll bring up responsible, aware, new Americans.
I didn’t turn out so bad because I handled weapons at an early age. I’m a decorated Navy pilot. I also served as a ground Commander in Iraq and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism as a ground pounder. That’s pretty rare for a Navy fly boy.
I believe my introduction to a Daisy BB gun at eight years of age followed by higher powered weapons set the stage for my career. I do believe my early experience with weapons saved my life may times over in tight situations. No joke. AKULA
Well I did nail a couple of gophers this summer at around 15 meters as my friend begged for me to come out and clear out his infestation problem. I used the Drozd for close work, my HOT 2250 Crosman out to 25 meters, and my Condor with 29 grain Eun Jins out to around 100 meters. The Condor devastated the open fields, the 2250 was also effective but loud, and the Drozd was just evil. The one gopher I felt bad for was playing in a sandbox and took a full auto burst of 30 BB’s across the chest he did not even move!!! But anything over 20 yards the BB’s start loosing accuracy and power but my god they just chew up a target at close range. I tuned my solenoid, 1200 rpm full auto board, converted to HPA bulk, and added a hardened Jim C 15″ barrel. It will bury a BB in a 2X4 and blast thru a paint can.
The scope is one I bought at a gunshow for 20 bucks and it a 2.5 power Chinese Polycom scope. I like when not using the laser and at 1200 rpm you get lots of BB’s on a target.

My airguns and field vehicle:

2250 Cannon:

CR150 found it at a Flea Market (45.00):

One of my .22’s I built this from a Charter Arms AR-7 but not until fixed the feeding problems but adding heavier hammer springs, feedramp bevelling, and polishing:

Randy,
What kind of scope is that on your Drozd?
I can tell you this… It will take a squirrel right out of a tree. Damn quick to. 😈 Pigeons don’t stand a chance.
That is a frigging cool gun…dare I ask if you’ve shot anyting with it?
What all mods have you done to it? Just the barrel kit and HPA? was it easy to do?
Jim.
Thanks my wife forbids me shooting steel BBs in the basement anymore ever since she caught me giving the kids magnets and telling who ever gets the most BB’s stuck on the end of the pick up tool wins! 😥
She said I was pretty lazy and a bad Dad. 😕 I was just trying to keep them occupied. 😀
Oh well they both enjoy tinkering in my shop, bought my daughter a Red Ryder and the boy a little Japanese .177 air rifle, they just to wait a few more years.

Love that video Randy.
they are located off to the hwy 4 side of down town Martinez, I haven’t been there in a year or so, but I believe they keep it in stock.
I remember that place, but I never been there. I will check them out.
THANKS

Sportsmanguide will not ship to Ca because they don’t want to.
I have had the same issue with them.
I get hundreds of shots.
I have the 3000psi tank with JimC bulk adapter.
Drozd can shoot Gamo lead ball at full auto if you don’t want to shoot steel.
You will have to mod the clip to shoot lead ball. Easy mod.
I think the Drozd is the best BB gun out there. Tons of upgrades and a ton of fun.
I have a 24″ barrel on order right now with JimC.
There is a restriction in San Fransisco City on Airsoft and other things.
Bay Area should be okay. Call Pyramidair and buy one.
California is not as bad as other states.
Drozd is okay by state but you might want to check with the city you live in.
I will look into them again. It looks like I should go more into my quest for one. I like the bulk Co2 one at Pyramid 😀 Sportsmansguide would not ship one to my address? They said Cali. siad NO. How many shots are you getting with the setup you have?

Yes I tried lead BB’s which are much more accurate and effective in killing but at 1200 rpm they become deformed and jam in the mag.
