Q:

88cf 4500psi tank / hose from Joe Brancato – Review/Pictures

I have been saving for some time to upgrade to a nice new high pressure 4500psi charging system for my PCP rifles.

I have done tons of research and Joe Brancato came out on top for the price, quality and customer service!

If you want the highest quality Tank, Valve and Hose Assembly he is the man to buy it from =)

This is my first 4500PSI setup and I am honestly blown away by how LIGHT this tank is! I think its worth every penny.

So here is what I got today in the mail =)

1. Brand New 88cf 4500psi bottle with rebuilt SCBA valve.
2. Heavy duty (built like a tank) hand tight SCBA Hose assembly with Glyceryn filled gauge and Quick Disk
3. Male/Male paintball shop fill adapter (made filling at my local paintball shop a breeze)

Here is some pictures of the tank, hose and my EDgun getting its first charge from this filling station.

Thank you Joe for great customer service and awesome product! I would love to buy your 17cf “Guppy” some day!

How do you fill those tanks when they are empty? I mean I know how they are filled, but what sort of adapter would you use. The place down the street from me(ninja Paintball) fills my AF tank as a courtesy from their compressor via a foster fitting. I guess I am just out of the loop as far as what fitting you would use to fill a SCBA tank.

You can do it 2 different ways, depending on if your hose can handle it (many can’t) mine can handle it easily.

Stainless Steel Male Paintball to Male Paintball Fitting. For filling at a paintball store, or SCUBA shop that fills paintball tanks (through the hose assembly). $29. SCBA or SCUBA tanks can be filled through my hose assemblies with this adapter as the hoses are rated 6000 PSI, and tested to 10,000 PSi at 1 million cycles. Other hoses assemblies use paintball hose designed for CO2 pressures and regularly fail. Especially bad are those metal braid type.

Stainless Steel Male Paintball (Foster type) to Hand Tight Stainless Steel SCBA Fitting. For filling SCBA tanks at places that fill paintball tanks $79. This is what I usually recommend, as many paintball shops won’t fill through the hose, as they know many hoses can’t handle the pressure.

Harry scba tanks can be filled easy at a fire station they use the same fittings and tanks most are Scott air packs same fitting on the end of the bottle, you can still get those tanks filled at a paintball place you just need to bring a foster fitting along with the hose assembly or they can also use a yoke connection that is what I do at a local paint ball shop at times, but usually I get mine filled at my local fire station, My shoebox is a few weeks away but I have one coming 😯

Joe’s stuff is great quality. I have one of his hose assemblies on my CF bottles.

I guess that you like the chair too, huh Joe? The color and texture of that leather is perfect for showing off your tanks and gizmos…sure beats those bricks. 😉 Maybe he will do a trade with you?

It’s about time for me to upgrade my recharging system.

Execllent post.

I’ll tell you what, for someone who went out of their way to take such nice pictures, post them, and do a write-up, I got a “Special” price on a Guppy for you. “Time to pay it forward” 😀 Call me and we can talk.

Again, thank you.

That looks like a really comfy leather chair.

Joe B. Is an A+++ in product and customer service.
Great review and pics.

Thank you very much for the post. I tell people that a satisfied customer is my only true form of advertisement. Thank you.

I have the Pygmee from Airhog and a new Shoebox compressor, it is so handy.
I also have a 44 cuft tank and no hose assembly I bought for $98.00 off of Ebay, it only has 2 years left on it, which means it is good for at least another 17 years , I just can’t get it hydroed or tested and I can only fill it with the shoebox myself.

In two weeks when I get paid, I am ordering that hose assembly from Joe.

I have been using the Cascade scuba system for a year, it works fine, but is heavy, I have that same scuba tank you do, that is a nice set up you have there.
