These really take off for their size.
Well just dial the power to MAX then! There has been no over-powering of the 9 ring slugs observed yet!
Paul, I replied to the email regarding payment (which has been rcvd). Your slugs will ship early next week as we will make them this weekend and the QA them and then package and ship. As an aside, it is pretty neat that my kids are running an international business that has now sold product on three continents and a couple island nations as well!
I had to dig it out of the plywood. I have not gotten over penetration, Yet.
Just ordered 200 6 ring from jerry. Great guy to deal with, quick response to e-mails etc.
Slugs were good price, but add to that the shipping and these babies are costing 30 cents a hurl!! 😯 😯
Can’t wait 😀 😀
Thanks for posting your results. I’m really happy that the slugs are working well out of your Talon SS. I think it is pretty interesting that the 6 ring slugs were hitting high compared to the zero you had established for the Kodiak. Since the 6 ring slugs are much heavier than the Kodiaks, one might guess that they would hit lower. There are two things that come to mind: the slugs may hit higher because of the recoil effect and time in barrel, or, they might hit higher because they have higher initial friction in the bore and that allows a higher breech presure to build before the slug moves. I suppose a combination could be in play as well.
I’m a little surprised you found that 9 ring after only going through one layer of 3/4″ plywood. Looks to me like we have a nice expansion there.
You know what. I do not know???? I just asked Tony to set me up with the proper hammer to open the high flow valve.
How heavy is your hammer? (in grams) I’m doing almost exactly what you have done to your SS.
The heavier ones work really well in the condor.
Well now she is a Super Talon SS. 24″ .25 Barrel, High flow tank/valve brass hammer (all from Tony)
Yep, those suckers hit really hard for sure. What gun are you shooting them through? A talonSS?
The heavier ones work really well in the condor.
Good God ‘yall.. no wonder there’s a big space between gun report and impact lol.
83.4 grains
😯 How much do those things weigh? 😯
I just got an order of surefire Slugs today and Wow. I fired a few six ring and a few nine ring BIG difference between the two.
Betty is zeroed in for .25 Kodiacks. I started with the six ring 10-12 shots all high and left (I Just wanted to try them no re-zero yet) they seem to cut the air nicely.(quick to target)
Then I tried the nine ring. The first shot I thought (for a split second) did not exit barrel but then thwok. These are slower it was like pull trigger……………………………………………………..then Thwok at 25 yards. So you need to keep on target a little longer than normal. but they hit HARD!
they also for now seem not to be as accurate as the six ring but will try to find the PW sweet spot for this round.
Any way that is my little review. I am very happy with the slugs.
