A day with Edgun 2044
Last night I slept in the back of my truck so I could just wake up and start shooting my Edgun. I was prepared with my -20 deg. sleeping bag and it did get cold. My favorite activity of the day was shooting old shotgun shells that litter bugs had left behind and it was fun but also easy at 80 yards. I was on higher ground and had a great view of all my targets. My farthest shot of the day was 192 yards. Here are some pictures of my day with Edgun #2044. All pictures were taken with my iPhone.

No snowboarding with my Edgun although it would make me feel like I was in a 007 flick. The Mt. Shasta adventure was a few years ago.

PS: Sleeping bag? Pussy! I used to sleep naked in those conditions. Although, I do admit to tossing a few leaves on my body if snow was coming that night. Check my avatar…that’s really me. I ride naked or I don’t ride at all.
This sleeping bag has taken good care of me. I also used it and a tent, I’m not crazy, to sleep at an elevation over 10,000 feet near the top of Mount Shasta and then snow boarded down the untouched powder the next day.
The LCD on the end is for the older barrel shroud which had a female threaded end. The newest barrel shroud doesn’t have threads for the add-on SM but a new barrel shroud is in the works for 2010 which is supposedly as quiet as one with the add-on SM. I don’t mind the extra 3″ and personally like the look of an LDC on the end of the barrel.
Yes I painted my stock. I just didn’t like the glittery grey so I painted it flat black and it looked pretty cool. The problem with the flat black was that it got marked up pretty easily so I decided to wipe Birchwood Casey Tru Oil on the painted stock. It’s like a varnish and keeps the stock black and protected. I finished it off by wiping Birchwood Casey Gun Stock Wax on the stock and all the external parts of the Edgun.

You guys are definately intense and extreme to say the least….
I had a beer by my side at night while I shot at a target 40 yards away with a flashlight pointed at it so I could see it through my scope but I was wishing I had a hot coffee in the morning. My friend Amy did happen to build a small fire but no hot java. She’s my buddy’s girlfriend who you see in the background but definitely a cool chick for camping out and shooting with us.
