a little disapointed at first with new condor
Well i just put a couple of .22 14.3gr pellets through my new condor on co2. i was a little disapointed. the report was no where near as loud as i thought.
my fill adapter wont be here to next week so co2 untill then.
i did try the HPA with what ever was left in the tank(i got the 10 shot test fire from pyramyd) and that was impressive. still, report not as bad as i thought. With the 14.3 gr pellett i was expecting a sonic “crack”. I didnt observe one. At this point i still have many variables, i know, but are my results normal? subsonic with a 14.3 gr?

yeah i know about the accuracy and defeating the point of the shroud, but this is my first airgun capable of shooting supersonic. Its kinda cool to hear the sonic boom without an explosion(firearm round).
I dont plan on using it with light pelletts at supersonic speeds, just the occasional showboat of the guns capabilities.
Shooting supersonic will not damage a shroud. Clipping could, or if the shroud is not secured properly.
If you set the gun up to shoot supersonic, you pretty much ruin the point of the shroud, as well as the accuracy potential. With a supersonic projectile you get a supersonic crack that sounds like a rimfire, regardless if shrouded or not.

all is i can say is holy shit, this thing is awesome.
on a side note i was wondering if shooting supersonic can damage a tony shroud? Probally just another dumb question but better safe than sorry.

Ya vo I ussually go up 4 numbers I think when going off air to the gas.
thats what i figured. i just needed a little emotional support to keep the buyers remorse away.
i ordered a shroud from tony, i just got a 3-9X50 truglo illum ret scope and the bsa laser/flashlight. So i have a few bucks in this rig.
Stupid question: can i sight it in on co2 and expect it to be close? I’ll just have to tweak the elevation when up and running on hpa…..right?
Does anyone make or have a similar tank to the stock one regulated to 2000 or so?
No, the 14,3s will go so fast on air you won’t even want to shoot them, wait when you have more air pressur to make any judgements.
CO2 will not give you the ballz out velocity you need to break the sound barrier.
When you get 2800 psi in that tank it will sound like a 22 rimfire.
