Q:

A must for the Etac

Hello Everyone,

First I have to say what a great product the Etac is. I have 2 of them. One is the 2500 and the other is the 1200 psi.

After shootinig thousands of rounds thru them I have realized that if you put several drops of Silicon Seal Savor into your refill nipple before refilling with HPA it keeps your seals fresh, new and working perfectly.

When I first got my 2500 etac I didnt use the Silicone enough and my seals went bad after about 500 shots. Since that time I use it on every refill and my gun never lets me down. I now have over 2000 shots out of both my etac’s and their still preforming perfectly.

Jim Does GREAT work and you cant go wrong with the Etac Reg 😀 😀 😀

Voltar,
Go easy on me plz 😛 But since Air in the tank does reach the seals and since oil reaches the tank shouldn’t that oil also reach the bloody seal? Think about that for a sec.

Alright Guys thanks for your constructive critizisim.

Its an Etac Reg!!!

Of course the silicone goes into the airbottle. Thats the point of having it lube the inside seals.

Here I tried to tell something that helps keep it running well and you guys only find the flaws in my post.

Thanks,

Have a great day,

you gotta be kidding!
gonna pick up your toys and go home now?

How exactly does the two or three drops of lube in the fill nipple go into the tank and then lube the seals in the reg?
think about that a while…..

Hey,
I see the glass half full not empty, so thank you for the advice, I will actually try that but I only have O-Ring silicon, can I use that ? 😀

the lube you are putting on the fill goes into the tank and may accumulate without lubing the reg or seals.

Grafdesign,

It would be helpful if you called your “ETAC” by the propper name, you have a ETACREG, the ETAC would refer to the orginal ETAC which is not regulated, it gives a gauge, fill nipple and in the Canted ETAC form gives a off cast to the tank to allow better ergonomics.

There is also a long and a short ETAC and both of these can be had with cant, but again are not regulated.

Your ETACREG is the most advanced of the group and from what I have read a great product, but then all of Jims products are great.

Regards,
