A muzzle loading classic in the Ranger 45
I found this one on Ebay, they have an extensive casting section there, for about $40.00 shipped.
It is just the basic 45 caliber Maxiball, cast out at .454 then sized to .452 from 20-1 and weighs 240 grains from that alloy.
Filled to 4000PSI and on high power setting it averaged a tight 1113 FPS, and at 35 yards it shot into .59″ off the mercedes. That is a very flat shooting 660 FPE. A two shot fill group at 35 yards was .59″.
The blade is Alan Borucks June 88 redition of the Kentucky fighting knife, a really wicked close in break contact weapon.
