A QUICK review of the .25 JSB Exact Kings
Well, after having some trouble getting the pellets from a dealer who shall remain nameless, i finally got them in.
Standing true to their reputation, the JSB’s in .25 did not let me down when i comminced to open the can. They look just like the .22 versions……just FATTER…LOL. I can say for sure that JSB is on to something and they know EXACTLY (lol…get it?) what they are doing. From caliber to caliber, JSB’s are just about the most accurate pellet manufacturer there is. And clean too. I am thoroughly impressed (NO….I WAS NOT PAID BY JSB to say that….lol!). Now, if only they would make these pellets in 9mm, .308, .45 and 50 caliber, my life would be complete.
The low down:
I post no pictures or video (even though i have some) cause the conditions were simply HORRIBLE. Winds were aroung 13-19 MPH and never stopped gusting. Even for my Ruger 10/22, the conditions were not ideal. My mil-dots on every gun i shot that day….CAME IN HANDY. Saying that, i say this, the JSB’s in those conditions still proved to be hella accurate and even moreso than the KODIAKS. By a slight margin but, non the less, they were awesome. Although, i have not done any THOROUGH testing, i would probably trade off my Kodiaks for the JSB’s and never miss the Kodiaks.
Accuracy: At the end of the day…LITERALLY!. I was able to put a full magazine (12shots) into a group the size of a quarter. It was one BIG hole with no gaps in between the pellets. I did not take a picture cause the conditions again, were less than ideal and i wanted to do my evaluation of the JSB’s justice.
Accuracy over distance: My buddy and I decided to go head to head with our guns. He had a gun in .22 and mine of course is .25. Did i mention that his gun was a .22 Long Rifle? Also, did i mention that the distance was 110 and 120 yards perspectively. The targets were water filled bottles and we decided that the rules would be that each person took a shot on the SAME target until someone hit it. So out of 25 water bottles, he shot first at which ever water bottle and if he missed it, then i would shoot at it, and so on until that 1 bottle fell. Then we would move on to the next target until they were all gone. At 110 yrds, we were tied (he could not believe that an airgun could take out or keep up with a .22 long rifle powder burner). At 120 yrds, he honestly beat me by 1 shot, and it was simply because of the wind and the fact that the .22 lr bullets a far better than any skirted pellet. But to beat me by one shot, is nothing to laugh at……especially when you have a powder burner and i use air.
Head to head pellet shoot: I shot 1 magazine full of Kodiaks and 1 magazine full of JSB’s at the water bottles and they were the SAME. The JSB’s seemed to be just as accurate as the Kodiaks if not MORE. The other thing that totally surprised me is…….I NEVER HAD TO TOUCH MY SCOPE WHEN I TRIED THE JSB’S. My gun is sighted in and always has been sighted in for Kodiaks and nothing else. I was totally shocked to pull the trigger with the JSB’s and see a hole basically were i was aiming. I say basically because of the high winds, so i had to use the mil dots. But when i shot some Kodiaks after shooting the JSB’s, they hit to the same POI. Believe it, Or not…LOL!
After a while of competing back and forth, he got really competitive and decided that he wanted to shoot….BOTTLE CAPS. I laughed and of course me being me…..i gladly accepted. We picked 1 bottle cap at 120 yards that was still attached to a bottle and guess who hit it first……..ME and the JSB’s.
The other things that is impressing me is that, so far, i have heard nothing but GREAT things about these pellets and, the velocities NOW range from the MID 800 FPS-1000 FPS and they all have the same results….GREAT ACCURACY.
Velocity of the JSB’s in my GUN: 5 shot average is 1000 FPS EXACTLY (lol, i can’t stop saying that word)!
Stay tuned for a more thorough write upon these pellets. Of course, when the conditions are more ideal 😎

JSB are KING! I just got some in from P.A. today and shot the last 30min of daylight this evening. WOW first time I shot a one hole 3 shot group since I ran out of Logun penatrators.
Ive been wanting to try some because of all the good reviews here on TAG. Im shooting .25cal and since the jsbs are lighter than the barracudas I was a little skeptical, but Im a beliver now! I can almost hear the squirrel skulls cracking 😀
