A VULCAN shorty???????

Let’s play the what if game.
For the quest of the perfect bullpup, some say the Vulcan is dam close to that.
What if we all wrote the maker of the Vulcan, saying how much we all love the Vulcans & show that their is a demand, for a shorty Vulcan bullpup. And try too get a shorty Vulcan made.
If we could have a shorty Vulcan bullpup, as short as the Taipan mutant bullpup.
Like say 22- 23 inch long, that would kick -ass! 😯
The Vulcan has a great reg all ready, its getting 90 shots on a fill, if you fill too 250 bar.
I bet a shorty Vulcan could get over 40 shots on a fill easy.
It has a bigger air tube, that the shorty Taipan mutant bullpup, & it’s getting 40 shots on a fill.
Now their has been, out for a while the RAR VL-12 bullpup.
Made in Russia, we may never see it here.
It’s a short forward cocking bullpup also.
So just keep the same design stock, that the Vulcan has now. And make it a shorty Vulcan, get rid of the hammer slap. And you may be very close too the perfect bullpup.
What do you guys think? 🙄

I’ve been playing quite a lot with my Viking pup and I can tell you that a short bullpup is always going to be a compromise. You can get power (24+ fpe in my case) but noise goes up and shot count down. You can make it silent but power goes down and shot count up. It’s all about finding a happy medium which in my case seems to be about 14-16 fpe, veerry backyard friendly and around 40 shots. So, instead of just wanting a short pup – maybe we should also state what kind of a compromise we are ready to accept. Here’s my 20″ for you:
Edit, after having looked at the Vulcan specs and design, I would say that you can’t make it much shorter than 600mm while still keeping it silent. 23-24″ long and quiet gun with reduced power level should be doable, it only takes shorter air tube, shorter barrel and shorter silencer.
Edit 2, it should actually work rather well. 14-15″ barrel and Weihrauch type silencer. That’s around 600mm gun and enough for 28+ regulated fpe in .22, 30+ shots with 28mm air tube and very backyard friendly – been there done that.
no Doubt about it. It is a little too short for me sometimes. The Vulcan is very easy to accidentally point at your side mirror. I have to be careful how I position my truck when getting ready to shoot.
You said in addition to a Vulcan, you wish they made a Taipan Mutant Shorty. Here you go:

Personally,having held and shot both the Vulcan and the Mutant, I can say I like them both VERY much. I like the Vulcan’s forward cocking, but that tiny Mutant might have me keepin one for myself.

I don’t need any shorter Vulcan myself though.
I already like the ease of getting it up “the gun that is” and out the truck window. Rides nicely on my lap as I’m driving around looking for targets.

My opinion is Vulcan is short enough. Anything shorter will get your fingers shot off.

We first would have to see if we can shoot decent groups with shorter gun before going any shorter than it is now. Only thing I’d change is a 20 MOA rail on Top. Hammer slap what hammer slap? Mines got 2200 shots Through it and it’s great unless I got deaf from it. I’m not sure how 22 cal shoots but it must be much quieter than 25

Keyser…..No kidding…my windshield…A trick shot….I’m trying to test fpe after passing through windshield then to target. No seriously I’m still trying to get use to the safety being inside the trigger guard.
