Q:

a while back…Shroud insert

A while back, someone was making an insert for a talon SS to make it even quieter…I did some searches but couldn’t come up with anything. Does anyone know who it was, if they worked and if they’re still making them?

clague air strippers: http://petersoncorner.com/clague/

Yes Neil Clague, look on the posters up on Yellow for air strippers he will more then likely make you what you need.

an LDC has a sleeve about 2″ long that fits snuggly in the frame and is held in place by the set screw that holds the end cap in place.

No I haven’t tried either insert. Had sub’s sold it because I installed an 18″ barrel and now have a Clague airstripper.

An LDC? Where and how would it fasten on a Talon SS frame/barrel?

Has anyone used the baffle set that AoA carries for the Talon SS?

don’t hold me to it, but the inserts for the Condor SS should fit. May not be able to use all of the parts and pieces since there is a difference in frame lengths. Airforce could answer that question. You may have to insert a spacer or spring to keep what inserts you use from rattling around. 😎

$75 for the internal airforce model

$60 for the internal model AOA sells

I’d suggest considering an LDC. Yes, it makes the OAL longer but it will be more quiet. Many to chose from. Let your wallet be your guide. 😀

Oop’s, your right, it was Sub-Sonic!

Does anyone make one still?

Subsonic. I had one. Not making them anymore.

I don’t think so. It was a plastic cone that was inserted into the shroud of an SS. I thought it was subsonic but I can’t find anything on it.

May-by you are thinking about the GetThe BlueJay inserts? I think he quit making them.
