Q:

AA 18.1gr

Anyone try these? I originally bought a single tin to try. 30-40yds they weren’t any better than the cheaper JSB labeled 18.1. Luckily when I went out to 70yds I pulled them back out and found they shot much tighter groups than 14.3. 15.9 & 18.1 JSBs.

I ordered 4500 from pyramyd. I am thinking of ordering more as when I looked at some older tan tin AA 18.1 that I received in trade I found they were different, the outside looked the same but inside the skirt was completely different. Although AA owns the dies they obviously can and do change design ( when dies need replacing????)

This was from an FX Independence. Unfortunately, I never tried them at longer range when I owned my Edgun R3.

I had very good results with them in .25. 😉

I bought several tins of them to compare( $1 cheaper per tin at time) than JSBs.
At 885fps in my Edgun I saw no difference in accuracy out to 120yds. Both brands of 22 cals looked same as far as construction and finish so I would assume its just JSB standard pellet badged for AA.
As a side note the 25 cal version performs same as JSB even.
