AA S410
which one?
aa site lists the standard model 24″ barrel, 42.5 length, 3.1 kg (6.8 lbs)
pamona airguns lists the same specs.
pyramid air lists this same gun as weighing 7.65 lbs?
i am finding some of the same differences with the classic
i have already read the 6 pg post started by steve, that took care of most of my questions, but i have a few more.
the sights above list the classic as 6-6.5 lbs but a 24″ barrel but less power than the standard. if the barrels are the same length for the classic and the standard shouldn’t the power be the same, but with less shots?
i am having some shoulder and elbow issues. i want to upgrade my condor for a lighter gun. part of the problem was the heavy scope, leapers 4x16x50 (27oz) this problem has been fixed with a bushnell elite 4200 3x9x40 (13oz) almost one pound lighter.
are there that many different models or are some of the web sites wrong?

well thats light enough, but the low power would be an issue. plus i thought the consensus was that most would choose the 410 line over the marauder line?
i should have said this from the start, but the 410 gets one more plus in my book. i have a “friend” that owes me a favor. 410c or extra walnut stock plus shipping to “friend” and from “friend” to me 850.00. kinda hard not to want one at that price. this discount would be for anything PA carries. so keep my discount in mind. this would apply for any gun PA carries. big price gap to cyclone or edgun.
let me ask you this wok? would you trade your classic for a marauder if you could get the price difference back.

these are the specs listed on pamona airguns site they are about the same as listed the air arms uk site (provided the conversion calculator i used was accurate).
one of the sites listed the classic as having a 20″ barrel. that would explain some of the power differences. but if the above listed specs are accurate, then why does the extra make so much more power than the classic?
back to the topic of weight for a minute. if you can change the tank on a carbine to that of the classic, can you also change the extra tank? what about changing the barrel to a shorter one to save weight?

dont get me started on PA
as for gun specs the ones listed on pamona are spot on with air arms site.
when it comes to weight, sound and length, weight is the biggest issue for me right now. my condor weighs 8.5 with scope. it would be nice to have a gun with a total weight of 6.5 to 7.5, but it is not an absolute must either. my condor has a hollow tube frame extender, not quiet, but not to loud either.

i had my choices narrowed down to the 410 or cyclone, but with all the problems people have had with AOA, and the difference in price, i will get the 410 first. royale 400 same as cyclone. multi-shot is high on my list but it is not a must. edgun love the reviews but that stock and price are killing me. however someday maybe i will get a chance to shoot one and change my mind on the stock.

I bought a rifle case based on the pyramid specs only to find they were off a few inches and my $100 case wouldnt fit…
These are the actual specs –
Might be old specs on some sites. I ordered a carbine listed as 35 inches
and it was actually 37. Pissed me off so I sent it back and told them to update their info. (Pyramyd). That and is was also VERY loud, which they
listed it as being the same noise level as the Marauder. NOT!
If you want a light and accurate multi-shot with effortless cocking, I would seriously consider the FX Cyclone. It’s only 5.5 lbs and has side lever cocking! The FX Royale 400 is a little heavier but still feels as light as a feather. If you don’t need a multi-shot, it’s the Edgun hands down with a cherry on top! I do love the AA S410 and would love to have one myself but I think these are lighter.
The difference in weight is probably the wood. Walnut and Beech don’t weigh the same. Also the density of the same type of wood will vary resulting in weight differences.
