AA410 Xtra Wood options
I think I have talked myself into getting a 410 Xtra. I’m looking around at prices and the walnut stock is ~$110 more than the beech stock. Since I tend to like composite/synthetic stocks, I dont know which to choose. I’m assuming there is a color difference and a hardness difference in the wood? I dont think I’m too interested in the thumbhole stock, so that is out. I’ve looked at alot of dealers websites and nobody seems to have comparison pictures. I dont mind paying the extra if there is a good reason to get it (but naturally, I would rather put it into the optics).

Gabe, if you’re ordering a new rifle, it should come with a fill adapter. That adapter will have 1/8″ BSPP threads, same as your Talon adapter. Might be a little awkward, but you might be able to remove the Talon adapter and install the AA one in it’s place. Of course, it would be easier if you got a hose for it, check with whoever you get your rifle from. You might also check with Joe Brancato and/or Mac1, they both do fill whips. AirHog would be another source. For a complete whip, be prepared to spend another $160 or so, if you can do just a hose, it would be a lot cheaper. Good luck!

I was asking more of what kind of connection between the scuba tank and the gun. Does it come with something or do I have to piece it together?
BirdHunter that’s the fun part. You will need to play with the press. and find that sweet spot that will make the gun work the best for you. Mine in .177 has and likes a fill of 2900psi and 20 shots before the next fill. This has been the best fill point for me for FT and at my club I fill twice at the range, with one at home. At home I can shoot 35 to 40 shots at 17+fpe for pesting with the same fill press.
Well, as long as you guys are helping me out, what else will I need to order to fill this gun? Right now all I have for PCP is a Condor, Airforce scuba adapter, and scuba tank.

The beech stock is not bad and I seleted it with my gun up top that’s used for FT and the added weight from the beech stock really helps in the FT position when shooting. It won yop PCP for 2007 at my club. My plan was to also maybe change the stock later to a more FT design in walnut like the MPR FT stock.

The Walnut stock is beautiful. Just ask yourself “Will I take such a beautiful gun out to shoot and hunt with?”. The last thing you need is a “Safe Queen”

Thats the older factory beech, The newer factory beech has wood caps and white spacer on the pistol grip part – Like this one on Photo’s –
I think the $110 is worth it if you want a fancier stock. I went with beech because I was already having chest pains over paying $1000 and I’d stroke out if I then went and dinged up a nice walnut stock.

Yours should come with a fill probe like the one on the end of my fill line. I use a foster female fitting so I can fill my other PCP’s and it makes things faster when you have other guns. As said above Joe Brancato or Mac1 can get you setup with all you need to fill the s410.
