Q:

AAA Condor

AAA Condor. Definitely worth the wait. It’s pretty light, long, sleek, and powerful. Thanks Tony for such an intense work of art.

Here are some photos:

The 2 slugs on the left are the 70.7 grain 7 ring Surefire slugs. The pellets to the right are the 31 grain Barracuda and the 26 grain Polymag.

Thanks Jerry! Love your slugs. Will be ordering many more.

Here are some chrony numbers:

AAA Condor, 3100 PSI, 70.7 grain 7 ring slug
1. 838 fps, 110 fpe
2. 833 fps, 109 fpe
3. 827 fps, 107 fpe
4. 826 fps, 107 fpe
5. 817 fps, 105 fpe

The AAA Condor is currently (and patiently) waiting for some night time critter activity. Since the last yote, the “enchanted forest” has been very very quiet…. 😐

Now you need one of Tonys angled adapters, but mount it upside-down to raise your head high enough to see thru that thing. LOL

That high mounting of NV scopes is a pain in the ass. Thats why YN lopped off the rail on the rifle in my sig pic.

I agree. The NV stuff does mount higher than I like. One of the members on this forum (Baz) was able to bolt the NV scope directly on to the scope rail. His setup (and yours too) looks a lot more comfortable.

nice one chancers! that’s got to be a topheavy prick with that night scope.
what kind of groups are you getting with the slugs, and at what range?

At 30 yards, I’m getting around 0.5 to 0.75 inch groups (4 shots). But, it’s hard to tell for sure (because the slugs basically tear up and and shread the paper). Sometimes, I get a large hole (less than an inch in diameter). It’s not as tight as the JSB Exact Kings or Barracudas (1 ragged hole at 30 yards), but the slugs are definitely good enough for my purposes (hitting critter kill zones at night at 30 yards). Plus, I figure the extra fpe may be more forgiving if my shooting is less than optimal.
