Q:

Accuracy Help

Hi all, new to the PCP world. I recently purchased a Talon SS and have been reading everything I can find and watching youtube videos. What i am striving for is the BEST accuracy up to 35 to 40 yards. Will be using the weapon for small pest control. So far the best grouping pellet seems to be the JBS 15.89gr. My question, is there a setting with the power wheel that you all find to be the most accurate. Would like the same hole or touching at 25 yards. Thanks all for the help 😎

Tell me about it. Sunday with 70 MPH gusts I think the Texan would have trouble keeping the lead going strait :biggrinn:

Thanks everybody. All I need now is for it to warm up and the wind to slow down

Ricci , at 35 to 40 yds. you do not need to have your power wheel set at #10 . At #4 will be good enough at least it works for my Talon SS
.22 when I’am shooting . Also , at that setting I shoot both EUNJIN 28.5 gr. and H&N SPORT Crow Magnum 18.21 gr. pellets . Both for me
at that range are pure killers . The scope that is mounted on it is a 3-9x42mm . I have this Talon SS set-up with using two 12″ barrels ,
one in .22 cal. and currently .25 cal. shooting both H&N 28.40 gr. , 31.02 gr. , JSB 33.95 gr. and EUJIN 35.8 gr. out to 40 yds. For me all
are one shot killers . This is what I call my short PCP set-up . Being able to change from .22 cal to .25 cal for short distance shooting . For
my longer distance shooting over 40 yds. out to basically 190 yds. I leave for my .25 Vulcan . :8: :8: :8:

You are going to need a chroney to get the info you are looking for. That will be the only way to squeak the max out of your gun.

Let me try and explain my question better. The power wheel adjusts the amount of HPA that is used per shot till it drops down in the low 2k range. ( i think pellets will group different depending on the force of the air ) What i am asking is if people have gotten tighter groups with the wheel set at 10 or at 8 or at 6 or at any other number. Understand that all guns are different. But a shortcut will be helpfull. Am 62 and using a hill mark4 pump. If i can get the best group from what other people are using great. Better than a few hundred rounds experimenting and pumping. :geekn:

Every application is different. I find that the powerwheel seldom needs much setting over 2 or 3 .
You should fairly easily get the accurac,y you are seeking at those distances and even twice that distance if ya do your job behind the trigger.
Perhaps you are shooting too fast and thus getting bigger groups.

I have my .22 SS set at 6 on the wheel. I can hit a beer cap just about every time at 35 yards. I have only used the crosman 14.3 pellets so far.
