ACOG 4X32??
I love the ACOG 4X32 but cant afford the real one! Anyone tried the good replica ones, they look like they would really suit the Talon’s style?
I shoot a lot at close distance say 20 to 40 yards and find a lot of scopes simply wont focus the crosshair and target unless it’s out at 40 yds plus? Am I the only one who suffers this or is my cheap scopes!

Thanks – my cheap 6×40 only has adjustment on the reat lens so I can never get both crosshair and taget correctly focussed, I will look for a decent one, any recommendations for a good compact 4x?
ACOG seemed nice combining quick iron sights with a bright 4x mag but maybe best avoided if quality is poor.

You need a scope with an adjustable objective lens.Either front end or side wheel.Make sure you focus the reticle first by turning the eye piece until it comes into sharp focus,do this against a plain background like a white interior wall.Then adjust the objective until the target is pin sharp.Easy.
ACOGs are designed for the 5.56mm round and will not suit an air rifle,the reticle is for use against human targets.Replicas are usually cheap and a very poor representation of the original.The best I have seen is a Bushnell but this is only 1x,I think.
For air rifles a 4x mag or higher is the best option,I use 6x and in one case a 7.5x.
A half decent scope should not cost a fortune.Have a look at the Hawke range.As for the ACOG,for the price you can get superb hunting optics that are not designed for military purposes.

Check out J S Ramsbottom website,plenty of sheap compacts on there.Maybe try a variable scope?The Simmons WTC 1.5-5 is a compact and very usefull scope.I’ve got one on my Skan.Perfect for air rifles.
