Q:

Acourvil–post deleted on MG’s "WARNING" thread on Yellow?

I read it. Came back a few minutes later and it was gone. Don’t see
what you said wrong, just that MG was name calling there too.

The discussions have become so biased over there they border line on the worthless. Only a few gun smiths comments are valuable at this point like Ernest’s. As ugly as this forum seems to get sometimes it is much better to battle it out on a level playing field like Talon. The truth wins in the end.

Looks like they deleted a couple of other posts from another member that were supportive of Edguns, notwithstanding that they seemed to be fully within the forum rules. I never realized the degree to which they modified the discussions . . . .

Sorry to hear about your disappeared post. No explanation. No reason given. No information on its whereabouts, huh. Kind of leaves you walking in circles around the Town Plaza,
like those poor Chileans still mourning their disappeared. And the Yellow’s hired Moderator Blackboots pointing a toe to Rule #6 or #7 doesn’t help ease the bewilderment;
I see you weren’t even given that courtesy. There’s a sense that victims of disappeared posts on the Yellow are left feeling momentarily humbled, tamed, disciplined like naughty children;
smacked on the head without knowing where from or why. Demp223 is right, one must properly fashion a subtle sarcasm to get some things said on the Yellow,
for those who are able to recognize the disguise. One of sarcasm’s objectives is to be recognized by only those who can recognize it and appreciate the import and meaning
of the conveyed message; and, as well, the consequences of exposure in a hostile environment. Yes, the secret content of a message written on the back of a gum wrapper
cannot be passing through the hands of personal prisoner-servants to the Concentration Camp Commander.

Again, sorry for your treatment at the Yellow, acourvil.

I guess I was too dense to understand Hanot’s message, but in retrospect it was an excellant bit of subtle sarcasm. 😀

It’s great that we have hobbies like this to entertain us, eh?

He was being subtlety sarcastic in proper Yellow forum fashion.

You don’t mess with sponsored vendors/products over there despite Steve’s BS about manufacturer vs Vendor. Edguns are fair game.

Another message by me was deleted on the Yelloe. jerry asked about my issues with edgun / daystate were, I responded and the response was deleted. They were both minor issues, I didn’t say anything particularly negative. Sheesh 🙄

I think Hanot was kidding, to heighten the irony of Steve
giving MG’s obvious insulting attitude and demeaning words a pass.
On the Yellow you have to be very careful when messaging
between the lines. I think with your deleted comment
others have been alerted once again to Steve’s lack of integrity, and to his dislike of Ed
by way of surreptious expressions of it, by giving, in this case, a bye to a guy like MG.
I don’t want to get Hanot in trouble though. Just a theory about his post. In any case,
your sacrifice for your fellow men has not gone unnoticed. 😉

There was and is nothing insulting to my post on the yellow as I edited it for the yellow but you’re clueless. No one gave anyone a pass.

quote acourvil:

Yes, apparently Steve or one of the moderators deleted it. It was in response to Hanut’s message that said that MG was following the rules and not doing any name calling or using insulting language.

My response was “Are You Kidding?” and I quoted 5 or 6 things in MGs initial post where he called Ed or people supporting him names or otherwise disparaged them. I didn’t make any other comments, just put the quotes there.

Seems pretty clear that they are not interested in fair discussion, and it supports what I said in the thread yesterday pretty well, i.e, that it is not a forum friendly to edgun users. It’s Steve’s forum, so he gets to make the rules, but it does not make me think highly of him.

Another rocket scientist here. Did you read my post on the yellow? Obviously not as it’s slightly different pinhead. Geesh!
