Adapter for Hill Pump
Just got a Hill pump for Christmas and need to know what fitting I need to be able to fill my Talon tank. I do have the Air Force scuba tank clamp adapter if that helps. Thanks

Is it 1/8 npt or 1/8 bspp? I would have thought 1/8 bspp. The two are not the same.
The hose my [USED] Hill pump came with would not work with 1/8th npt AF fitting. If it had, I would not have had to screw it directly into the base. Maybe I had a non-stock hose, maybe they have changed them since.
Not much info here but…

The airforce fill adapter is 1/4 npt you need the adapter that reduces it down to 1/8 npt. Pyramidair used to sell just the adapter but now it looks like you have to buy the whole setup. Here is a link to the one on pyramid.

The hill pump uses 1/8 npt. I would recommend using the hose because hooking the adapter straight up to the pump the bottle barely fits and like someone else mentioned you could easily break the pump if it fell over.
Also the pic that assman posted looks like the one that you need.
Thanks for the offer Assman. Maybe someone will chime in who knows if that is the part I need.
All I have is the piece I posted, which I think would need another adapter.
Yes I can unscrew the adapter to the scuba clamp but I need an adapter to tie into the hand pump or onto the hose. Just not sure what I need.
Can u unscrew the bottle adapter from scuba rig? If so I think you should be able to find an adapter to go from bottle adapter to hose.
Here is a pic of the parts I have.

Yes your right, I forgot when I ordered the one from straight shooters I ordered it with the hose installed , to install onto the pump.
That’s the way to do it if you need both pieces. If you have the AF adapter you just need the right hose.
here’s what I got. If it will work for you you can have it. I don’t know if it will need an adapter or not.

I have one that would need the adapter, I believe to go to the hill hose. I will put a pic up and see if anyone knows if it will work, if it does, and you want it, its yours.
The bottom one pictured in the 1st link above will screw right into the base of the Hill Pump (in place of the hose unless they changed something) however – you lean forward while the tank is attached you would be likely to bend or break something. I borrowed a set up from a friend for a while then sold the pump when I went with a tank. I think the common wisdom is to tell you to call Tim (mac1airguns) or Joe Brocanato (SP??) both advertise on the yellow… They will know and be able to supply exactly what you need. Although I don’t think Joe would stock the AF adapter.
here is what you need. You may be able to take apart the scuba adapter but not %100. You would need the thread reducer if you did.

The hills pump, mkII has 1/8″ female BSPP output. The gauge is 1/8″ BSP tapered male but not sure if the hole is parallel or tapered.
(Just ordered a bunch of fittings from BEST in UK; Joe Brancato, Mac1 or Airhog might also carry them or have adapters.)
