Q:

Adaptor with Theoben regulator

A friend of mine was talking about fitting a Theoben regulator to one of my adaptors and using a Theoben bottle because the Theoben bottle can be unscrewed to re-fill it so theres no need for a quick fill on the adaptor. He will be using a 200cc or 280cc bottle, so the shot count should be quite high because the Theoben only use a 280cc on there MFR, although he will be able to use any size bottle he likes with the correct Theoben bottle valve. I will be fitting a paintball regulator into one of these adaptors soon, i’m just working out how much room a need to fit the regulator and keep everything as short as possible.

That’s looks great.

I imagine the quickness of the regulator to react is critical and is a key factor in how much volume the adapter should have.
I imagine when the regulator has equilibrium, it is at zero differential pressure and has to react ?
Should the final assembled remaining volume in the adapter be equal to the volume of the barrel, plus a little
OR
is there a way to figure how much volume is released during a non-regulated top hat strike ?
