adjusting a Harris Bipod to fit around a fat shroud

I got my second Harris bipod in today and after mounting it I noticed that the folded legs were going to hit the shroud, putting pressure on it. So I took the Harris back off, pulled the tension off the springs, removed the top allen head bolt off each leg, swung them over 180 degrees and put the bolts back in. I reapplied the spring tension back where it should be and PRESTO ! lots of clearance and actually this is the way it should be. You can adjust the legs from the receiver side of the gun instead of the business end.

This is why Harris is top dog of bipods.
