Adjusting Anti Tamper Stealth to stay legal
Hi, am having a bit of a kerfuffle with my Stealth.
I bought and fitted one of Leupy’s excellent hammers complete with his mainspring, spring guide and 2 spacers.
Initially all was fine giving a consistent 772fps with 8.44 grain JSB Exact pellets (the gun is a .177 example).
Unfortunately now the new parts have bedded in, the gun is firing at an illegal power with 2 spacers fitted and at a paltry 521fps with just the one.
So, I thought I would wind in the top hat to drop the power a bit. The 2 tiny grub screws came out easily enough but when trying to turn the top hat, the whole stem is turning.
The gun is about a year old and so has been “anti-tampered” by the manufacturer. Is it indeed possible to adjust the top hat at all on anti-tamper models? any tips on how to grip the stem so that I can turn the top hat? No doubt thread locker will have been used but it should still be possible to break the hold that has and adjust it, or is it?

Aha! will give that a go and hope I don’t completely ruin it!!!!
Pull the whole stem out the valve. You might need to lever it a bit to get it started. You can do this whilst the bottle is full.

Managed get the valve out and top hat freed off.
The more I shoot it, the more the power seems to creep up. Must be the power curve I guess. What pressure do most UK Stealth owners fill to? I think I am going to have to find the sweet spot and fine tune it there. A project for tomorrow though as I’m losing the light for my combro.
I see on the internet there are a few regulators out there for these guns and not too expensive either. But have no idea what reg pressure would be best for UK power limits
