Adjusting laser
I’m using a BSA laser on my Talon SS (stock).
How do I adjust the laser to line up correctly with the barrel for close quarter shots? And remember, this is a stock Talon SS so the barrel is inside the tube about 4″. How do I sight in my laser for this application? Any ideas? All is appreciated!!!

Another great idea. I will try that then. Thanks very much for your help. Only with the talon can you take off the butt or tank to get easy access to the breech which in this case to use a laser bore sighter from the breech and adjust the laser to it.

Ah, but you can. Simply shine the laser up the bore from the breech end after removing the tank……..
Before there were units with spuds on them, we used to pull the bolts on rifles and put laser pointers in the bolt way and shim it in place with matchsticks and tooth picks.

Good idea too. I just wish I could use a laser bore sighter, but that’s an excellent idea.
Bore sight the sucker!
Pull your tank off, block the gun up so it doesn’t move, peek down the bore to see where it’s pointed, move the dot to that point. Easy.
FWIW this is the common practice for “real guns” from main guns on modern armor to sporting rifles.

Okay, very easy to do. Why didn’t I think of this at first? 🙄
This will be pretty easy then..If you have a good steady rifle vise or sandbags and can get someone to help you, all you need to do is..fire the rifle at a target the distance you want to be sighted in at..with out moving the gun any at all.. have your helper adjust the beam until it centers the hole for the shot you just fired..its a easy one shot sight in that works everytime.. 😉
Mine only has two. I installed this on my Drozd and it worked very well and so now with the Drozd put away, I decided to take the laser off of it and put it on my Talon SS. I have no problem adjusting. I just want to know what’s the most accurate way of setting it up for close quarter range for the SS since the barrel is seated 4″ inside the frame cavity. I’ve tried using a laser bore sighter, but then again the barrel is seated so deep in there that my laser bore sighter cannot go so I’m kind of stuck on this one. I’m just estimating right now at the moment and maybe use it for looks if I cannot adjust this laser correctly.
The piece of shit bsa I just bought ( and returning tomorrow) had 3 screws in the end under the cap where the light comes from, you were supposed to take a allen wrench and adjust just like you would a scopes crosshairs.. Mine never would get any closer than 1 inch from the poi..

Actually not really an ‘only with a Talon’ deal. AFAIK all bolt action CF and RF rilfes do will do this just fine. And it’s easy to do on AR based rifles with the bolt carrier pulled.
I have a buddy that even rigged up a mirror glued on the end of a cartridge case at an angle to bounce the beam off and down the bore of a lever gun. It ended up being kind of comical trying to adjust stuff, but he made it happen in the end.
