Nope never read it. Never ever loosened the .050 set screws. Read some where that the gap is supposed to be set at 1/10″ off the brass. So that’s what I set mine at. Never run a o ring behind either of my tophats.
So anyone beside me read this? Feedback from more experienced members, please!

I’ve read this before. The early AirForce guns relied heavily on the Top Hat adjustment for fine tuning. I purchased my Talon last summer and put off adjusting the TH because I was somewhat satisfied with the performance. It wasn’t until after I changed the barrel that I would a plastic tag stuck to the spring that read “Spring”. Quality Control failure perhaps? Finding that caused me to start to tweak my Talon.
The TH adjustment and an o-ring reduced my ES to under 10FPS and provided regulator-like results. 100 shots @ 20FPE? Yes please!
