Q:

AF Condor .416

I could not attach photos in my last post. Dummy me….
I´ve been following all the forum´s wisdom for a while and this is my 2nd mod, a .416 condor, its a little cannon!!!!
As soon as I can I´ll chrony it, there´s no space here. The bullet shown (Lee .41, 210 gr), went through a 3L soda bottle filled with water (big hole, no explosion), hit a wall and ricochet towards me…enough indoor practice.
I just ordered another mold (this time a spitzer rifle bullet), it´ll be here in 2 – 3 weeks

First of all I´m in Mexico city so its not easy to find airgun related stuff. But I found this guy, able to make rifled barrels, he had a .416 barrel ready to go (a 54 is on the way), a little negotiation and I began my project starting from a .25 Condor.
The new barrel is 24 inches long, has 1:18 twist and its 16 mm OD, stock AF barrels are 15.92 mm so it was an easy conversion, I kept the original power wheel and hammer, made new bushings and sleeve on my little lathe (Atlas 618, older than me). Already had (also made by me), a new trigger guard, pistol grip and forend and bought a new 4500 psi tank.
I been playing around with valves following Cygnet and Dyotat´s advise; still a long way to go but have improved over the original by far.
Unfortunatelly I lost my photos due to hard disk failure during xmas.

Tell me more! Tell me more!
